Vehicle Detail
Many thanks to BAT for making my job easier! :-) This 1976 Alfa Romeo GTV was imported from Italy in 2006 and is a limited edition Mario Andretti car. Only 150 of these cars were given the Andretti signatures and flag stripes in honor of his piloting the T33 sports cars (he didn’t pilot an Alfa F1 car until 1981). The silver paint and decals are all original and the injected engine runs well. The interior is all stock and the signature split gauge clusters are in great shape. The car has air conditioning and shows 46k and change miles which I believe to be original. The venerable twin-cam 2.0L 4-cylinder is a good match for the chassis, and the rear transaxle is what gave these cars their impressive weight distribution. These early versions are often mistaken for the later GTV6‘s, but the two cars are actually quite different. I personally like the early cars like this one for the more vintage interiors and minimalist trim and taillights. This car is currently titled in California, and many more details photos can be seen above on the scrolling banner. I personally inspected the car inside and out and I only saw minimal rust on the front driver side fender bottom part amd some rust is forming on the spare tire bottom pan the rest of the car seems to be very solid. This Alfa is parked inside my warehouse in Gardena so I can take additional detailed pictures if required/requested. The Alfa starts right up and runs well but after being warmed up for about 10 minutes it actually runs excellent. I didn't see any body damage, although there is the front left lower stop/turn signal light lens broken, the right headlight trim is also fractured the shifter vinyl booth has some rips as well as the emergency brake booth also has some rips. The car handles pretty well but it is not completely tight, after driving it a few miles I can feel that some attention to the bolt joint would be required sometime in the future. Overall it is a fun driving Alfa. Sure a power steering would have made it more fun especially pulling it out of a parking lot but I personally can live with it. The car shifts very well all gears are easy to find especially the reverse, they all engage easily. I will add more info pictures and video clips later on the day.On Aug-17-12 at 12:33:53 PDT, seller added the following information: I ship vehicles worlwide. Local inspection is very welcome. email me to set up an appointment or if you have any specific questions. Even though I do ship cars worldwide I cannot give a quote on shipping charges nationally or internationally. I can suggest a few shipping companies I have worked with in the past although I am not affiliated with any of them. California Shipping www.calship.com (talk to Brita) Rinkens Shipping www.rinkens.com (Talk to Joey) Schumacher Cargo Logistics www.schumachercargo.com THE CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 14 DAYS FROM THE END OF THE AUCTION This car must be picked within 14 from the end of the auction even if it's been paid in full. If the winner needs a little more time I would grant that although If not picked up by the time requested I'd have to charge $25 per week storage fee the following week after the 14 days grace period. This is primarily to encourage the buyer to have the car picked up as soon as possible or I would end up with my entire lot packed with vehicles. I know it sounds a bit harsh though I hope it makes a point.
