Vehicle Detail

Vehicle Condition This pristine, matching numbers, originally from Texas, 240z was given a 100% ground up restoration, by Conti’s service in Cranston RI. NOTHING was overlooked. This includes: All new belts and hoses, plugs and wires, cap, coil, rotor and points, replaced all brake parts including master cylinder and lines, replaced 4 tires and resurfaced the rims, rebuilt original webber carburetors, new EGR valve, (clutch slave, master, disc, pressure plate, bushings, bearings and resurfaced flywheel) rebuilt rear axle and drive shaft, replaced entire suspension and all front end parts, new wheel bearings and seals, rebuilt the starter and alternator, all new glass and moldings replaced heater hoses and core, replaced entire exhaust, replaced a/c clutch bearing and tensioner, new fan blade, new radiator, replaced battery, tray and cables, fire extinguisher and bracket, the engine compression was excellent so there was no reason to rebuild… There’s really a lot more, but you get the idea. The vehicle was entirely dismantled, as you can see in the pictures. More are available upon request. 1000 miles have been put on odometer since the restoration between 2001 and 2003. Since then it has been garaged, run and moved every week. The body was actually in very good shape with very little rust and had never been hit. Every inch of the body was ground down to bare metal, chemically treated, primed and undercoated. Improvements were made to the factory welds, converting from lap welds to butt welds. Every inch of the body and frame is solid as a rock. All the gauges worked except the clock which was sent out to California and repaired. The carpet and vinyl was in poor shape, so the carpet is new and the vinyl, on the door panels, around the center console, on the seats and on the shock towers, was replaced with hand stitched diamond patterned leather by Carl’s Quality Auto Upholstery in Johnston RI, and it still smells great. The A/C compressor has been rebuilt and blows ice cold. Vehicle also includes factory service manuals, the original jack, tools and spare. Additionally, a custom made breathable car cover is included. EVERYTHING was painted, polished, rebuilt, repaired, rechromed or replaced. Luckily, during the restoration, Nissan was having a renaissance for the 240z, and factory replacement parts became available for retail sale. The goal was to restore the car as close to showroom as possible. No expense was spared to get it there. There’s not a ripple in the body that I can find and the body panels line up factory perfect. Have about 40k in receipts which can be faxed upon request. What a job. This thing is gorgeous, top to bottom, front to back. No problem driving it right to the car show. Be prepared to bring home a trophy. There is however, one problem though…………….The interior right blinker bulb is out on the dash. Otherwise flashers and turn signals function fine. The odometer reads 12286. Not sure if its 112286 or 12286. Should really read 1000. Don’t miss this one. Serious inquiries only please.Buyer is responsible for shipping and handling, or local pick up.Vehicle is for sale locally in Cranston RI, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. There is a reserve but it is set at a more than reasonable price for this pristine showpiece. By the way, I used to sell on e-bay all the time, but it's been a few years. I've tried to reinstate my sales and satisfaction histwory to no avail. Therefore I will post as many pics as I can. Additionally, the receipts are faxable upon request.Good luck all and happy bidding. On Aug-20-12 at 05:23:44 PDT, seller added the following information: It has just been brought to my attention, that there is a dash cover over the dash. apparently one could not be found before reassembly. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. On Aug-24-12 at 05:47:10 PDT, seller added the following information: upon further inspection and taking about 100 more photos. there is a dent, about the size of a golf ball in the front bumper behind the license plate. i do have a picture if anyone wants to see it. there is also a crack in the center console right next to the choke lever. apparently the lever needed to be re-enforced. and the custom assembly was a little too meaty for the original spot for the lever to handle. have pic of that too.
