Vehicle Detail

1966 Dodge Charger 1st year and 1st generation original paint and color original big block engine V8 361ci and 727 torqueflite transmission. This charger is extremely straight with no signs of body injury nor major accidents nor hard or small collision signs not even small dents no bondo or body filler anywhere and very little rust located only and thankfully on the passenger floor pans which are easy and inexpensive to replace. This Charger still has the front and rear California original black and yellow license plates which are digited on the California clear title (which is handy) so the plates can be re registered and go with the car. Like many of us I try to collect one owner, original paint and California cars with black plates, although I believe I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle I actually never finalize the transfer from the second owner to me. THIS CHARGER RUNS EXCELLENT! I personally tuned up this car to a perfect purr! I owned this Charger for about 2 years and I put electronic ignition from points (Original points distributor is available set aside in a box) an electric fuel pump was already there when I purchased the car and it works perfectly, I did an oil change and used non synthetic castrol 20/50, new spark plugs, new battery, new battery cables, transmission was professionally rebuilt 50 miles ago and cost me $850 (I have receipt) I put the widest wheels in the back the car could hold without any modifications and that changed completely the posture of this Charger and that's when I truly fell in love with this car so I have Magnum 500 wheels 15x7 in the front and 15x10 in the back with brand new tires int he back and semi new tires in the front. As it can be seen in the pictures the interior needs plenty of attention. For those not too familiar with mopar drive-train this is a 361 cubic inches big block that belongs to the family of the 383ci and 400ci engine blocks so intake manifolds headers and other parts are exchangeable within one another. Not to be mistaken with a later model 360 engine which is considered a small block. Basically any mopar engine with the distributor in the front is a big block and any mopar engine with the distributor in the back close to the fire wall is considered a small block. Again this Charger starts right up and runs excellent so it can be restored as you drive it. I went through this car and fully inspected completely looking for signs of heavy rust and only found it where I mentioned above. I even took off the rocker panels, cleaned up that area and re installed the aluminum panels with new heavy duty screws, again there was not rust hidden under the rockers. I have been contemplating whether to sell this Charger or not since they are currently undervalued, I have noticed that big block cars have been gradually disappearing and been bought and shipped to overseas countries sadly I have been part of that process since I have personally shipped several big block cars myself outside the USA and this might be part of the same fate. With that been said I can help coordinate shipping should this Mopar be sold overseas. I have taken a number of pictures and tried to capture any detail although if I missed and specific spot any interested bidder is interested in seeing please let me know and I will do my best to fully capture it. This car is actually located inside my home garage so I have very easy access to it. A scrolling banner above this description has plenty of pictures and a small video clip of this Charger in running mode will be added right below. Please email me or contact me if any questions or if you are local and would like to come inspect or test drive this car. I am located in Lake Forest near Laguna beach Laguna Hills area in Orange County near the John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana. Click on the link below to watch a small video clip of this car in running mode: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6M-CJbdynBs I ship vehicles worlwide. Local inspection is very welcome. email me to set up an appointment or if you have any specific questions. Even though I do ship cars worldwide I cannot give a quote on shipping charges nationally or internationally. I can suggest a few shipping companies I have worked with in the past although I am not affiliated with any of them. California Shipping www.calship.com (talk to Brita) Rinkens Shipping www.rinkens.com (Talk to Joey) Schumacher Cargo Logistics www.schumachercargo.com THE CAR MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 14 DAYS FROM THE END OF THE AUCTION This car must be picked within 14 from the end of the auction even if it's been paid in full. If the winner needs a little more time I would grant that although If not picked up by the time requested I'd have to charge $25 per week storage fee the following week after the 14 days grace period. This is primarily to encourage the buyer to have the car picked up as soon as possible or I would end up with my entire lot packed with vehicles. I know it sounds a bit harsh though I hope it makes a point.
