Vehicle Detail
This is a listing for a 1990 Honda CRX. I am the 3rd owner of the vehicle, purchasing it at a dealer 11 years ago in June of 2001. It has never been a primary or daily driver since I bought it. This is an adult owned automobile, clear title, no issues or surprises. It has been garaged for the last 9 years, the last winter it saw was in 2002, before I began work on upgrading it. I have invested over 20k into the car since that point. It saw its heyday with me between ’03 and ’08, being entered into multiple car shows / events and winning several first place awards throughout New England. You never see these in good shape anymore… you know what I’m talking about. PLEASE, feel free to ask as many questions as you would like about the car. I have all paper and documentation that goes with it, including money spent on it. This is the basics (not all inclusive): Exterior is deep black clear coat Wings West 6 pc R series kit w/ 6” LED spoiler Euro mirrors Tinted rear windows Nippon 16” alloy wheels / Kelley Fierce tires Tein SS damper suspension Energy suspension bushings Front & Rear sway and tower bars Fully adjustable camber / toe settings B16A w/ GSR YS1 tranny / Ex. 6 p clutch Head ported & polished by Gude Performance, CA. New cams, valves, timing belt, water pump, plugs & wires. Ignition coil, filters, fuel PSI gauge, Koyo Radiator B16A is run by original Spoon Sports ECU…. Not a “chipped” copy. Runs strong, VTEC is at its original 5200 rpm… Spoon didn’t change that. New exhaust system, cat, and ceramic coated headers. DC Sport. Integra axels, new shift linkage, and short throw shifter. Upgraded lights. Leather seats from a CRX in Germany. Mugen steering wheel. Cluster matches the B16A… reads in KPH. I have a ton of documentation to go with this sale. Please feel free to contact me, I will be available both by email and then phone. I WILL NOT ship this vehicle. Buyer will be responsible for pickup. I will answer all questions ASAP! Thanks! :-) On Aug-14-12 at 01:41:11 PDT, seller added the following information: *If you look at the vehicle report it shows two issues: First, the mileage issue in August of 1999 is a typo... it should have read 103,000 not 10,300. Second, the "accident" listed in March of 2004 was not this car. I owned another CRX at the time I was using for a winter driver and was rear-ended by a young girl who lost control down a snowy hill. ** I have a copy of the police report on file I will provide... it lists the other CRX's vin #. I have no idea how they screwed that one up?! This car was garaged when that accident took place. Also: AEM fuel rail NGK plug/wires Ported throttle body / polished inner intake manifold Thermal plenum spacer on intake, made by ProFab. K&N filter Rear brakes are a complete conversion from a '90 Integra DA6 SS brake lines on all wheels YS1 is from a '93 GSR I've got a ton of great questions so far, thanks! If it is a response about an item I forgot, I'll post it on the listing for everyone to see. :) On Aug-15-12 at 04:23:04 PDT, seller added the following information: This is in response to a question about A/C: No. As with most swaps, the entire A/C system was removed when the new motor was installed, saving weight and some draw off the engine. The only belt off the crank is the alternator. Everything under the hood, as well as under the passenger dash is gone. Response to a question about condition: This model does not have a sunroof. This was a complete conversion from a DX automatic (which was a slightly lighter car) in the fashion of an SiR. Pedel assembly, clutch cable, etc. are all new. No leaks anywhere else. No issues with overheating, she always runs at normal operating temp... just under half way up the guage. Nothing is bypassed in the cluster, check engine, oil lights all work properly. Pillar is vacuum, oil psi & temp. All will illuminate when running lights are on, but oil psi & temp are not hooked up. Oil light in cluster works as normal. SPOON SPORT VTEC controller is also installed, designed for the 88-91 model and fits into one of the rectangular popouts under the steering wheel in the driver's dash. It is a knob with a light to show engagement point. I currently have this un-hooked and the SPOON ECU is plugged directly into the harness. Reason being... technical stuff here.... These old OBD-0 controllers sit between the ECU and the motor and engage VTEC at a set RPM (adjusted by the knob), bypassing the MAP / oil psi sensor for engagment. It doesn't re-map any fuel curves or such, it just engages VTEC. As a result, you can set it to wherever you want and VTEC will always come on, even without demanding power with the vehicle under a "load". I.E... you can sit at a stand still in neutral, rev the motor and VTEC will engage. Not too much of an advantage over just letting the ECU do its thing. Personally, I don't care for that so I unhooked the controller. I've gone back and forth a few times on it, personal preference I suppose. I have the original box the controller came in as well, with the directions all in Japanese. It was unopened when I bought it (off ebay of course!) for about $300 back in '06. Kind of a novalty item. :) Hydralic arms on hatch I replaced a few years back... still have life left in them and will still hold the hatch up even with the spoiler. Exterior is in near mint condition, no dents anywhere, no rust, a couple small road chips I have touched up with matching paint. **The pictures taken were after a wash, without any polish or wax. Polish and wax her up and it's hard to stare at it in the sun. The car was originally red before 2003. The only place you can still see the original color is where the spare and jack are kept. I had two rust spots professionally fixed (no bondo), and the whole body gone over and painted when the kit was fitted. This was close to a $3000 expense at a custom body shop in NH. Again, I have the receipts.** **Gas tank and fuel pump are replaced as well. VIS carbon fiber hood On Aug-16-12 at 02:02:39 PDT, seller added the following information: Vehicle will go to the winning bidder. Sorry, not looking to trade. On Aug-17-12 at 02:34:30 PDT, seller added the following information: *In the picture with the headlights / fog lights on you can see a slight gap between the hood and the front bumper... I did not have the hood closed all the way when I took the pic. Just clearing that up, you can see from the exterior pics that everything is tight and all lines are smooth between the hood, bumpers, lights, body molding, kit, etc. 12th Annual 2003 Stratham Hill Car & Motorcycle Show - People's Choice Best of Show 2006 NOPI New England - 1st Place Early Model Custom 2007 NOPI New England - 1st Place Custom Honda 2007 Rye Lions Club - 3rd Place Street Machine AFTERSHOCK Show Series 2010 - 2nd Place Runner Up etc... etc... etc... I really do appreciate the offers, again vehicle will go to the highest bidder. I will not end this auction early! But thanks for asking :) It ends SUNDAY night... STAY UP LATE & Good Luck!On Aug-18-12 at 14:06:13 PDT, seller added the following information: What else..... ? Let's see, the clutch and flywheel (lightweight) were both replaced new in 2006. The starter was also replaced new in 2009. Injectors were replaced in '05, as well as the complete gas tank and fuel pump... Brand New. New fuel filter in '10 with B&M psi mounted off the filter. New timing belt & valve adjustment in '07. The motor was estimated between 30 - 35k when I got it, before a partial rebuild. GSR tranny is USDM and came with 45k when installed. I have put about 1800 miles per year on the vehicle since the fall of 2006. Summer, weekend driving mainly. Only running Moble 1 5W-30 with new filters. No leaks and she doesn't burn oil. I began work when her mileage was mid 140's around 2005. She had 119 when I got her in 2001. **ALSO PLEASE NOTE: The cluster is from a JDM version of the CRX. The mileage in the photo of the cluster currenty is 178k I believe? THAT is kilometers, not miles as you would imagine. (A kilometer X .62 = a mile) I.E... 100 KPH = 62 MPH. When I got my hands on that cluster it read 164,000 (I have an original photo when installing it)... I've gone about 15,000 km or about 9,000 mi. The 155,000 miles in the listing is an est., but a damn good one. Honda Integra TYPE R valve cover
