Vehicle Detail
Thanks for looking at my auction! What I've got for sale is a true 1967 GTO convertible. I have started the process of restoration, but financial distress forces the immediate sale of the car. This car was set up as a twin turbo GTO, the engine has been completely rebuilt, with new pistons rings, stroker crank (puts the engine up to 461CI) new holley carb, and the list goes on and on! The stock 4spd trans has been replaced with a TKO 600 5 speed tranmission capable of handling what (given the right amount of boost) could be well beyond 1000HP!!!! The driveshaft has been custom built, the rear end is still the original posi, but has been rebuilt with new gears. The front brakes have been upgraded to disk for a little extra stopping power. The steering box was replaced with a close ratio steering box to help control the power. The frame is still in good shape as most of the fron and rear (near suspension components) has been media blasted and POR'd. I recently spent over $3000 getting a new passenger quarter panel, trunk pan, and front fenders installed. Finally, the car has a fiberglass hood and trunk lid to help save weight. (I was going to go for a pro-touring restomod GTO) Ok, now that you've heard her highlights, it wouldn't be fair to not cover her issues. The floor pan under the rear seat needs to be replaced, as does the floor pan under the convertible top. There are a couple rust spots in the door sills (where the sill begins to curve upward along the door), and around the trunk lid. The good news is that for every rust spot (not on on the floor) I've got donor metal from a lemans that will exactly match the age and contours for extremely easy repairs. (Actually it's over $2K in sheet metal!) I'm right in the middle of stripping the car down to head into the shop to have the final metal repairs finished and paint applied. As such, I've completely removed the old wiring harness which means two thing, first I can't start the car for you, second, I had planned on replacing the harness anyway, because over the years too many people have "fixed it" and it was in sad shape. So rather than burn up my freshly re-finished car I was going to upgrade to new wire. There are about a thousand more things to list on this car, but at the end of the day it may be easier for you to just give me a call and we can discuss. (Chris 757-513-7776) Again, financial distress has forced the immediate sale of the car, I wish I didn't have to, but all I'm asking for her is exactly what I owe on the note. (Yes, I still have the title in hand....it's a long story) I've got well over 15K invested, but all I need is $7200 to get out from underneath her! This is an excellent opportunity to own a piece of American history for pennies on the dollar! You can turn my misfortune into your gain very easily! Everything's here to finish the resto, including a set of 2004 black leather GTO seats. (I thought about putting them in the car to give it a more modern look...you can keep them or sell them, it's up to you!) Thanks for looking, and buy her quickly as I need ot get her out of the driveway cause I'm moving on the 18th of August!
