Vehicle Detail
Hello, I am selling my '93 Geo Tracker. This car has 164,400 miles on it, runs well, and had no trouble passing California Smog a few months ago. The first generation trackers have only 80 horse power, so steep uphill climbs on the freeway to stay up at 70mph where I live are a little challenging, otherwise 80 hp is OK for everyday driving. The only issue with the mechanics of the car is a hard auto shift from 3rd to 2nd. The accompanying service manual indicates it's probably a stuck damping valve in the transmission valve body but I'm not a mechanic so I'm leaving it to the next owner to fix during the next transmission fluid change. Although this is an LSi model, the original purchaser omitted the Air Conditioning and the Cruise Control. The front auto lock hubs work fine and engage as well as disengage properly. Since I received this car without history, I changed the timing belt and oxygen sensor immediately as well as changing the front and rear axle fluids as well as the transfer case fluid. I have noted the following fuel economy ratings with this car that did not come with Overdrive Transmission, 24.5mpg @ 55mph / 20 @ 65, and 18.7 at 70mph with about 18 city but I do a lot of short distance driving in town that messes that estimate up. Early trackers like this have a very firm ride over city street bumps but are exceptional rides when 4 wheeling off road, this one is no exception. The car has been resprayed to the correct color by a prior owner at some time and has a decent shine. Otherwise, the car shows the expected wear and tear that a 19 year old car would show. I have found no rot or rust anywhere. The convertible top is not original and is in good shape. Note: After posting the pics I forgot to mention that although I still have the GEO grill badge, the car now sports a Chevy bow tie. Call it artistic license since GEO was a onetime sub brand of Chevrolet. I am selling for needed money or I would have kept this fun little bugger. Thanks, and good luck. I accept Paypal. If necessary, the remainder can be paid by cashiers check that will have to clear or cash which is always welcome.
