Vehicle Detail
Amazing opportunity for the right buyer! Totally rebuilt from the ground up. Nothing untouched. I started building this about ten years ago from two scouts. The 1972 that it is titled in and a 1980 Diesel that I took the front axle and assorted metal from. As some my know, adult ADHD can be a real pain! I've moved on to customizing motorcycles and the Scout has sat untouched for five years. Time to clear out some garage space. I know I have over $23K invested, nothing but the best. Designed to be driven and enjoyed. Not too tall, not over geared. I'll try to cover most the goodies. Engine. Rebuilt 345 with Schnider cam, ported heads with big block Chevy valve seals. New Holly 650 carb on open port manifold. Mallory Unilite distributor with Accell electronic ignition and coil. K&N filter sealed to hood snorkel (should be able to take it in water up to the top of the fenders). Stan's ceramic Tri-Y headers linked to a custom fabricated exhaust system painted with POR 15 high heat paint with mandrel bends, stainless Borla exhaust and high flow cat. Valve covers alone are collector items. Rebuilt radiator. Frame and drive train. All metal was professionally blasted, primed and painted with epoxy paint. Reverse shackle with integrated front receiver and tow bar. Rig tows nicely at 75 mph. Triangle 4” lift springs. Front and rear Dana 44s with 4.10 gears and ARB air lockers built by Drivetrain Specialists in Detroit. New Warn selectable front hubs. All new ACDelco rotors, drums and pads. Stainless brake lines and hoses. Plastic fuel tank. MD Flywheel and clutch. Close ratio 4 speed tranny with Dana 300 transfer case. Spare tranny and transfer case included. Five new 33” tires and Centerline 15 X 10” wheels. Body and interior. Fiberglass Tub, fenders, tailgate and SS door inserts. Metal hood, inner fenders, windshield frame, firewall, grille panel and bumpers. Custom rear bumper from Chevy Silverado. Rear wheel wells tubbed with cut out urethane flares front and rear. Custom consoles over rear tubs. Rhino lined interior and engine bay. VDO gauges in custom panel. Full roll cage with spare tire mount. New vinyl seats from Chevy Astro van. Twin amp sound system with integrated speakers and 10” subs. Windshield and new grommet. Painless wiring harness. Nice clean running and tail lights. Much more. All manuals, receipts and all spare parts accumulated to finish what I started. The motor was the first thing I built. I'd recommend taking the heads off to check the condition of the cylinders. They're new, but have been sitting for a few years. Obviously, the painless harness needs to be finished. The seats can be mounted to the tub, but I'd recommend tying the roll cage to the frame and suspending the seat mounts from the cage. Finish the interior and windshield, test and enjoy! $500 due within five days of purchase. Balance to be paid with cash or cashiers check. Will consider delivering to a transportation firm within 50 miles of zip 48430. Best bet is to come to Michigan with a tow rig and space for all the spare parts. No warranties on parts or labor, sold as is. Listed for sale locally, so auction may end early.
