Vehicle Detail
Hi Here's a very nice 1972 VW Karmann Ghia, finished in an eyecatching yellow, it has 61093 miles showing on the odometer when I bought it 2+ years ago it had 59445 so just over 1500 miles in over 2 years, so not overworked. Of course Florida puts mileage exempt on the titles of older cars, the title is clear and in my name. I bought the VW primarily to take to cruise ins and car shows, hence the low mileage use, my wife thought I was as mad as a box of frogs when I bought it, and now she thinks the same because I'm selling it, can't win UH! It attracts a lot of attention at shows, lady's love it, kids think it's the greatest, and everyone will stop and talk to you about the one they/brother/sister/friend had in college, it's a friendly little car. It is a neat little car, with a 1600cc engine, not huge I know but keeps up with traffic very nicely, it has a floor mounted 4 speed manual transmission, and the MPG is not to bad. The car was painted just before I got it, but repainted in the original color, and it still shows very well. Interior is done in Black Faux leather, seats anyway, there are no rips or cigarette burns in the seats, or the black carpeting. It has a new dash, new centre console and a new radio/cd player with 4 (6or 7 inch speakers) fitted behind the rear seat backrest. All lights work, if you've seen a Karmann Ghia of this age you'll know that gauges are pretty much non existant, but what is there works, well except for the clock and even that's right twice a day. It starts right up, it drives well and stops in a straight line, it has been stripped of all side chrome and bumpers as you can see in the pictures. The car comes complete with several parts cataloges, and 2 how to do repair books, 1 of them is titled VW Repairs For Idiots, back to the box of frogs? Have a look at the photgraphs, looks good doesn't it, any questions contact me through the "ask the seller a question" On Aug-02-12 at 05:51:31 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi Here's a very nice 1972 VW Karmann Ghia, finished in an eyecatching yellow, it has 61093 miles showing on the odometer when I bought it 2+ years ago it had 59445 so just over 1500 miles in over 2 years, so not overworked. The vehicle is 40 years old, it is not new, so is not sold with a warrantie or guarantee. Due to the number of questions about the reserve, before you ask please read. As the car is listed in an AUCTION, bid what you think the car is worth, there is a reserve, which I think is fair, the reserve remains between Mr Ebay and I.
