Vehicle Detail
I have owned this Buick Caballero Station Wagon for about 25 years, and it has been in storage for most of this time. Recently, we took it out of storage, removed the plugs and lubed the cylinders, removed the old gas from the tank, replaced the fuel line and fuel filter, hooked it to a battery charger, and started the old timer. Unbelievable! This is a fun car. There is a large dent on the driver's side where another vehicle bumped into it in the storage building. One of the rocker panels has rust starting, although it does not appear to be major. All-in-all, for being 55 years old, this car is in remarkable condition. The Caballero has a clear title, although we have had to apply for a duplicate title, as we cannot find the original one. This vehicle is located in Northwest Minnesota, near Fargo ND.On Jul-27-12 at 18:05:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added 3 more pictures of the Buick. I have more that I can e-mail, if necessary. Please note that the car does not have wire wheels. What is shown are Buick Riviera wire wheel hub caps. I also have the original hub caps, which are shown in one of the pictures. I have been asked several times about revealing the reserve, and prefer not to...hope you understand. Doing so caused some issues in another auction I held. I have not found rust in the floor metal, and do not see any issues with the underside of the car, although it will most definitely need a new muffler. Today, I visited with the mechanic who got the car running and asked about engine leaks. He told me that there was nothing that jumped out at him. He told me that they drove it out of the shop under its own power. The brake master cylinder will need to be rebuilt, and he is looking through his sources to see what he has available to him.
