Vehicle Detail
I have had this truck for the last 3-4 years and I have put a lot of monet and time into the truck to make it what you see today - here is the rundown: This truck started life as a 240 straight 6 cylinder and a 3 on the tree, it spent some of its life as a forestry truck and the majority of its life as a daily driver... Then I bought it, I did all of the mechanical stuff on the truck, including the engine and transmission swap. The cosmetic stuff was primarily done by the previous owner. Big Block 429 ThunderJet L&L Products big block swap mounts New trans mount(s) and hardware Edelbrock Carb Performer Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake manifold Ceramic coated Hedman Headers Ford 9" rear with 3.73 gears (posi) new dual 2.5" dual Exhaust with dynomax bullet race mufflers (sounds wicked) Original(first run) American Racing Torq Thrust mags - tires are good all new hoses and belts lightweight polymer fan(polymer reduces weight and strain on water pump) ...new since engine picture heavy duty dual row aluminum radiator (runs cool in traffic and hot weather) new water pump new fuel pump new battery new heater core and heater hoses I just pulled the truck out for the summer and put all new ignition parts in it new distributor cap, rotor, wires, points, condensor, plugs, fuel filter(s), etc. floor boards were replaced by the po, looks like just the flat sections where your feet rest were replaced, it appears to be welded/sealed/and undercoated. - the rest of the floor is original and looks good paint is basecoat/clearcoat and is about 8 years old - it has a few bubbles and a couple nicks here and there but still looks good for a daily driver and shines really nice. gauges work, lights work, heater works - everything works as it should except the horn - has a horn button that the previous owner installed(it works) Great little pickup - This truck has good street manners, cruises well and is VERY fast - honest 13 second 1/4 mile with a good driver this truck is ready to cruise and lay rubber. I have messed with the rear suspension to get the truck to hook up and it does really well, at a 20 mph roll it will dead hook and move-out but from a dead stop it still screams the tires as long as you keep your foot in it. There is some rust in the cab skirts(only visible if you lay under the truck) - the cab mounts look clean however. Also, the truck used to be a forestry truck and they had a water reservoir in the bed so there has been two patches to cover the sections they removed for the sprayer(s). the patches were done with the factory bed pieces so it resembles the rest of the bed floor. The brakes are manual, I would recommend that the new owner add a power booster. They work, just not real well at 100 mph. Brand new C6 automatic transmission with shift kit, brand new converter(not reman), heavy duty trans cooler and new lines ( not a cheapo autozone cooler, this is heavy duty with hard lines so it is NHRA legal) *have paperwork B&M quicksilver ratcheting shifter(makes shifting mindlessly easy) I have put thousands and thousands of dollars into this truck and I have a lot of receipts that go along with it. the truck is not perfect by any means but its a lot nicer than most and mechanically it is ready to drive - it's a driver not a show truck. There is more in parts than I am asking for the truck. I am downsizing my collection - I NEED shop space! serious inquiries you can enquire through Ebay or call me 503-508-4878 - I am on Pacific time. Also, I do have a truck and trailer - I can deliver just about anywhere on the west coast for gas money - I can provide a quote if you call or email me the specific address where you want the truck delivered.
