Hello, Up for auction today is a 1981 buick skylark four door. At time of listing it only has 24,179 actual miles. It is a true garage find and one owner before I bought it so now it is a two owner car. The car is in really good condition for its age considering It has been sitting for a while..actually the last state inspection when I purchased it was 1994. I was planning on keeping it but plans have changed, so here it is. I have done the following to it: Replaced front brake hoses, Replaced vacum hoses, Flushed gas tank and replaced fuel filter, Spark plugs, Cap and rotor etc.changed oil and transmission fluid. It runs good ,not perfect, no noises or anything but does have a hesitation when accelerating. Probably could use a carburetor kit? The air conditioning blows cold and the heat works also. The space saver spare has never been out of it and the interior is good No tears splits or anything. Tires are old but look new. Matching set of goodyear tiempo,s....not sure when they quit making those..any way, the car does have some scratches here and there (parking lot type of stuff) and the urethane bumper fillers are gone...fell apart when I first washed it.( Could benefit well from a good detailing)So there it is, A 31 year old car with 24,xxx actual miles in decent shape and with a little more work could be a showpiece???? or just drive it..which is what I was going to do...Any more questions, Feel free to call me at 434-548-4891 from 8am to 6pm est with any questions.
