This is our 1969 Volkwagen Beetle Bug, it is an older restoration that has been stored indoors and only brought out a few times since 2002. The original owner is a close friend of mine and he is available to answer any questions that I can't answer myself. This auction has NO RESERVE, high bid takes it home. If winning bidder is in Southern California, I can assist with delivery, I also deliver to the shipping terminals in the Los Angeles area on a weekly basis. Also, I plan on selling many of the cars in my collection this year, so it will benefit other collectors and those of you that already know me and what I have to continue watching my listings! Please take the time to view the detailed pictures, I am very thorough when shooting and describing a vehicle and make every effort to catch as much detail as possible! DETAILS: Cosmetically, the body of this VW is very straight and free of dents. It has also been stored indoors in the high desert climate and there are no rust concerns at all, floors and undercarriage are very solid and very clean. This is an older restoration and the two-tone paint is from 2002, it still looks good from a distance but it is far from perfect or show quality, but definate "driver" quality. I see a spot below the engine lid where it had been touched up at some point and there are several chips, nicks and scratches that are visible up close. Hubcaps have scratches and dings (see pics) and hood trim is missing. Bumpers and all other chrome look good. All glass is clean and clear and the rubber seals around the windows are not dried out, it was all replaced a few years back when the interior was done. Window scrapers need replaced. The interior is in really good shape, never smoked in and very clean, seats and door panels were all redone a few years back. Everything works as it should, all lights, gauges, turn signals etc. Mechanically, this VW had a new engine installed in 2002 and it runs great. I would still do a full service as it has been stored for a few years. This VW starts right up without hesitation, trans and clutch shift well and brakes work fine. I would not have an issue driving this car anywhere. Tires are brand new Kumho tires with very few miles on them. I have in hand the clean and clear California title/ownership certificate on this VW. I will continue to have the car stored indoors until buyer arrives or we deliver it. We are located in Moreno Valley, California 92551 (Southern California) near March Air Base.
