I have too many cars and need to sell a couple, so first on the chopping block is my 2003 Silver GL Jetta. It has 109,820 miles on it, most of which were "highway miles" driving back and forth to California while in the Army. I am the first owner and have had it serviced regularly. It runs great and there are no problems mechanically- just had the regular 100k tune up, with the timing belt and water pump/thermostat change. (side note- if youre buying a Jetta over 100k miles, make sure to ask about that- they almost always go bad around that time, due to the plastic propellers on the water pump). Had the water pump replaced with the metal bladed one so it should last the life of the car. I haven't had the plugs and wires changed yet though, so I would do that next. The reason I priced it so low is b/c of the body- there are dings, dents and scrapes all over it due to parking in the city, parking garage attendants, etc. If you are of a mind you can get the body parts cheap off of Ebay, and they are really easy to install. I just stopped doing it after I replaced the quarter panel three times. It just keeps getting dinged. It also has a new battery from Autozone with a three year warranty.The interior is pretty good, some little things, like a couple knobs missing on the radio equalizer, and the louvres are out of place on one of the air vents. There is also a weird circle on the windshield from the suction cup on my memo pad- not sure if that is something serious or not, just wanted to mention it. Thats about all the pertinent info I think. Oh, the U bracket under the car needs tightening as the pipe rattles when you go over bumps. Thats just a minor annoyance though. And if I get the time Ill just do that anyway, so it may still rattle when you come or I may have already fixed it. Too much stuff to do! Obviously, it doesn't have a warranty and is sold as is. Im in NE near Galludet and am available anytime after 1730 weekdays and anytime on the weekend if you want to come check it out. Make sure you have your full coverage insurance and driver's license on hand for me to photograph if you want to test drive it. Tires in ok condition On Jul-19-12 at 16:09:55 PDT, seller added the following information: We just had it detailed, and the gas tank filled up which, with these gas prices, is a nice bonus. However, we couldnt find the title so there will be a delay with that- we requested a duplicate title today at the DMV and they said its about a 10 day turn around. You can still take possession with the bill of sale, like when you buy a car from the dealer and we can send you the title in the mail if it hasn't come by the auction end. On Jul-21-12 at 13:46:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I ended the listing because somebody seemed really interested to buy it, then changed their minds. This time I am listing and will not end the auction unless the buyer commits to buy, and pays for it first, as in does the Buy it Now or Best Offer, and only if there are no bids. If there are bids I will not pull the auction- I don't think its fair to do that. ****Also, please note- I have indicated that a deposit is required with 24 hours through paypal- no matter if you are in town or not, this is a requirement! I have had too many people say they are coming to buy it, then not show up. This is to encourage bidders to be sure of their purchase first and ensure that they follow through on their word. I just sold the MG at auction and waited four days for the winning bidder, who never showed. So non-refundable deposit within 24 hours. Do not bid if you do not agree to that.
