For sale 1987 Mercedes 300SDL 603 Turbo Diesel Black on black This is my daily driver for work and is garage kept. Some highlights: Current mileage is 240,770. These engines will last for 500,000 miles or longer if properly maintained with regular oil changes. The transmissions tend to last 250,000 to 300,000. I've already had the transmission rebuilt by a local shop that specializes in Mercedes so you are good with the major items for a long time with this vehicle. Complete summary of repairs can be send via PDF for your review. Major repairs include rebuilt transmission, new power steering pump, fuel tank removed and boiled out, all fuel hoses replaced with Viton or Viton lined hoses, replaced engine mounts, engine shocks, installed new European headlights and clear side lens. Replaced water pump, radiator, ac condenser, a/c relay, belt, shock, and Glow Plugs. Installed Brake hoses stainless steel, Replace Fuel Sending Unit, Replaced Antena, Replaced air compressor, receiver dryer, expansion valve and ac pressure switch. Rebuilt entire front end, Tie Rod End Inner Replaced, Check front end alignment and parts for wear, replaced ball joints, tie rods, drag link, Mounts, Bushing, Steering damper. Replaced alternator, Replaced glow plug relay. Replaced air temp. switch in car and air conditioning air circulation switch. Replaced exhaust system from engine compartment back to tailpipe. Replaced Ignition Control Module Body Paint is shinny. There is a small dent in the hood. In the back window area at the bottom on both side is some body rust. Nicks and scratches here and there normal for a vehicle of this vintage. I installed Coco Mats in the interior front and back with a matching Coco Mat in the truck. The sunroof works (Common problem). I lube the sun roof rails every spring. The AC blows cold air. Non-smoker car. The rear drivers side window is missing the controls and the window does not roll up and down. The CD stereo works but some of the speakers do not. A set of four new speakers would be a good addition. The antena does go up when you turn on the stereo. I also have quite a few fuel filters plus some extra oil filters. Shocks will need to be replaced soon. Note, most credit unions and banks will not finance a vehicle over 10 years old. When I purchased this I paid cash and you may have to do the same. Please get your financing in order before you bid on this car. Most of the repairs were done the first two years I owned it. Now I just drive it and change the oil every 3,000 miles.
