1976 Ford F-250 Highboy. This truck was a barn find in the Northwest. It was owned by an old timer. The truck has been sitting for a while, when we bought it the gas was bad, the carb was gummed and the clutch was frozen. We had a new clutch installed, had the carb rebuilt, the tank flushed, installed new fuel lines and a new fuel pump and the truck fired right up. It runs good, however the tank either is going to need to be replaced, or boiled out as it still has some sediment that is ending up in the fuel filter. Like I said the truck does run strong, however the filters get clogged quick then she bogs out. I did drive her about 100 miles on the highway, and she drives straight as an arrow with no rattles amazingly, the truck is very tight. The 4 wheel drive works as it should, along with the hubs. It does have some rust, nothing like an east coast Ford (trust me I have had many, and I used to live in New York) so I know rust! The bed is in pretty good shape, with a solid floor. The truck will need the following...first off the tires are shot, as you can see one already let go due to dry rot. It has 2 broken springs in the rear, it can be ran the way it is, as for the main leafs are fine but I would replace them in my opinion. and last the emergency brake drags a little...it just needs to have the cables lubed up, as for it sat for years with the emergency brake set. The truck is deff tight, and would make a great work truck, farm rig, or local driver for someone who likes highboys. I've owned many, and this truck deff has potential.
