Vehicle Detail
Sold AS IS. Full inspection completed in 2009 with no defects. (no inspection report obtained - completed for owner's information) Seller being relocated due to work. We are setting up the price below market value because we cannot move the boat with us. We want to sell her quickly. This classic Morgan design (the stern raises out of the water) has been owned by one family since new. She is 34’ with a 10’6” beam. Full keel with Centerboard; she is rated to draw 4 feet. She features a full Genoa sail and the original main sail still in good condition. This boat has its original Atomic 4 gas engine with a new carburetor (2007), a new impeller (2009), new exhaust pump (2009), and a new ignition coil (2012). She offers a V-birth in the bow, and in the main cabin a single birth and a double birth with a table offering seating all around. The galley features a 2-burner alcohol stove, sink, and ice box. The water tank in the bow serves the galley and the head. In the stern is a second water tank for the working pull out shower head. Two batteries offer back up for the engine and on board power with an alternator on the battery for charging. “Content” is steered via a tiller for maximum control. A hatch over the V-birth allows air circulation through the cabin. She also has a bimini-top over the cockpit. We have recently made a new custom tiller cover (2010), bimini-top boot (2011), and main sail cover (2012). The sacrificial cover for the Genoa was also replaced in 2012. She is currently on the water, bottom repainted and zinc replaced every 2 years; new boot stripe painted in 2009. The engine is working. The last time we were sailing with her was July 7, 2012. The mast lights currently do not work. The top coat has crazing but it is only cosmetic. She has a teak toe rail all around and teak seat backs in the cockpit. All the teak was sanded and varnished (Cetol) in 2010. The interior of the washboards have not been varnished. All running light operate properly. She is being sold with the cabin cushions, all interior cushions, custom fitted sheets and comforters for each of the bunks. The original owner’s manuals and operating paperwork is still with the boat. She is being sold with plenty of lifejackets, both adult and youth size, 4 boat hooks, a 50’ dock power cord, anchor and chain, 2 wind socks, screen for hatch and companionway, and dock lines. I wanted to add some additional information to answer some questions we have received. If you wanted to leave her in the current slip, the fee is a little under $2,900 per year. The fee is paid twice per year, or if paid all up front, you receive a 5% discount. The marina is a family-owned marina and the people there are very nice. We are keeping the slip through August, so if you wanted her to stay in the same location, you would need to pick up fees beginning September 1. The sails are in very good condition. The main has some places where it has been patched, but is in good shape. In addition to the items that are new on the engine, we have upgraded the fuel lines with a water separator and added an inline fuel filter after the fuel pump. She has been lovingly sailed by our family and anytime we have encountered problems with the engine, we have either resolved them ourselves, or there is an Atomic 4 expert mechanic locally that we have used to assist with some repairs. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Atomic 4 is 30hp. The boat has always been in a non-smoking family, and the boat has never been smoked on or in. The centerboard is a lead covered in fiberglass center board. The brass centerboard was replaced 12-15 years ago. The centerboard assembly is attached with metal brackets to hold it in place. The centerboard operates perfectly with no problems with a winch from the cockpit. On Jul-24-12 at 11:42:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Should this item not sell at end of auction we will not be considering off-site offers. We wanted to make this pefectly clear. No e-mail questions will be read or answered after the time expires. Thank you for your consideration and happy bidding!
