It's time to sell my mk1 Rabbit. It has 236,750 miles on it. The man that owned it before me took excellent care of it. I know the technician that services it and he said the man always kept up the service. He sold it to me when he was 85. Nice old man.The car has the ORIGINAL build paper...which is pretty awesome. From the photos you can see that the floor mats, carpet, steering wheel, trunk carpet, mud flaps hub caps, seats, and dash are all in pretty dang good condition for its age. I just installed new rear hatch trim, fuel pump, fuel filter, and oil change. The engine is strong and trans never grinds (not even in 2nd when cold!) The headliner is trying to get intimate with passenger's heads but thumbtacks and adhesive are preventing that. The engine is original and does burn oil. As the pictures show, it does need minor paint/body work. As mk1's go, this is a almost rust free example. Extra parts:-touch up paint-hub cap-2 WUR's (warm up regulators)-ignition switch for column with O.G. key. (uses push button start now, clean install)-new fuel filter-bumper cover-oil filter-misc stuff What it needs:This has been driven daily for years. It is hard to start in the morning and this is due to a bad WUR. I have included 2 that work in the sale. I can install this for the buyer if he/she wishes. This car is a good example of a clean, unmolested mk1. Look at the floor mats for proof, this car has been taken care of.
