Up for auction today is the first production model of the famous "Austin Healey" sportscar. This 1954 Austin Healey 100 has under gone a full body off rotisserie restoration. The chassis was sandblasted and reconstructed, epoxy primed, seal seamed and finished painted. This is a complete aluminum bodied car with original aluminum boot (trunk) and bonnet (hood). The doors and wings are steel. This is an incredibly solid chassis with new sheet metal and great bodywork and paint. Windshield is good with no cracks. Chrome should be redone. The engine runs great with good oil pressure and no smoke. Transmission is non syncro to 1st with overdrive in 2nd and 3rd. All gauges are installed. Speedometer is in KPH and odometer reads in Kilometers. The front and rear suspensions have new road springs installed. This Austin Healey 100 also has a new brake master cylinder, stainless steel brake lines, new exhaust system, and new wiring harness. The interior is what needs the bulk of the attention, as needs to be redone. Original seats and top frame are included. This is a documented, investment quality "timeless classic" that needs some finishing. Connecticut DMV bill of sale issued upon purchase. Also included is the British Heritage certificate.
