There is an old saying that things happen once in a BLUE MOON. Well this 1985 Mercedes 380SL qualifies for that statement. Without a doubt this is the best and nicest 380SL Mercedes Cpe/Rdts I have seen in years.. First of all there is NO RUST!! The body is beautiful, no marks, no damage. Somewhere along in it's life the vehicle has had an outstanding paint job. The interior is basically original, excellent, and I honestly cannot tell if the center panels in the seats have been re done or not. Carpets are original, headliner is original as are the doors and they are all perfect. Even the dash is perfect. You have to see to appreciate. I have bills for mechanical, including, replacement of the injection system and a complete engine overhall at miles 116820. The total of the bills for the engine alone is $7,250.23, This does not include and additional $2860.00 in work after that time, plus a new set of tires for $500 and a long list if new chrome and misc small parts from Mercedes for another $1200. This has all been done within the past 2 years and 2000 miles. Basically I have bills for more than $12,500 spent to make this car like new and does not include paint.. Unfortunately the owner passed away before he could enjoy the fruits of his labours. Everything stated here can be verified, by by reciepts from local service departments in the Clearwater area. Please note the convertible top was not shown in the photos. It is old and in bad condition, and a new one will be furnished in the box with the car when it is delivered or shipped.
