This 1979 Ford Fiesta is in very good condition and runs and drives great. This is the German model Ford Fiesta imported into the US for three years only, from 1978 to 1980. The mileage shown on the car is just a little under 68,000. I see no reason for this not to be the original mileage (but can’t guarantee it), since the car is not rusted out and used to be owned by the previous owner’s grandfather who drove it sparingly. The body is in very good condition with no major rust or any signs of prior rust or accident repair. The car has a small spot of rust on the RH passenger’s door corner. The battery tray and the area under the right front headlight are prone to rust, but are solid in this car. The doors and hatch all open and close. The paint is in good condition, with the usual chips and door dings that have happened over the last 33 years. The Interior is in good condition. The dash is in very good shape with no cracking or holes. The front seat upholstery is worn and torn in places. This tends to be one of the weak spots on the Fiesta. The rear seat is in good condition, with sun wear on the top edge of the seat back. The windshield is cracked and needs to be replaced. All other glass is in excellent condition. The rear hatch has the factory window defroster. Mechanically the car is very good condition. The engine starts easy and runs nice and smooth with good power and excellent fuel economy (35-40 mpg freeway). The head was just rebuilt and the car does not smoke or burn any oil. The transmission shifts well into all gears and does not make any noise. The clutch and brakes work great. The brakes were just done about year ago with limited driving since then.
