Vehicle Detail
1969 Pontiac Firebird .... I only have one picture of the car. It has been stored at a mechanic's garage for 5 years. The intention was to have it restored. However, the work was never completed and the car now has to be relocated, so, I am selling it. Here is what I know about the car..... I am the third owner and the odometer is in the high 30,000's. It has the original 350 engine and is an automatic. Somewhere along the line the drive shaft has been misplaced, but the rest of the drive train is in the car, just bolted for moving purposes. The engine did run when the restoration was started. Everything has been stored in a warm, dry garage up until this point. The body of the car was originally dark green and than painted blue. As you can see, there is primer where the body work has been done. It has new sheet metal on the passenger rear quarter and two front fenders. The hood is original. There are two holes in the rocker panels below the doors, around the size of a quarter. The driver side rear quarter panel has some rust and could be repaired or replaced. The trunk has two holes, around the size of a quarter. The driver side door has paint that has been scoured by a grinder, but no rust. The car originally had a black vinyl top which has been stripped and the roof has the holes where the vinyl top went in. There is rust flaking around the front windshield, no holes, and the back glass has some surface rust around it. The underside of the car is very solid, no holes in the floor pans except for the two in the trunk. Frame rails are solid and cradle is in very good condition. All the glass is good, all emblems, bolts, trim, anything that was taken off the car is in bags and labeled. There are many new parts, including the gas tank, tank straps, carpet, head light and plastic assembly, wheels, and others. The dash is not cracked or broken and instruments are in good condition. The seats are in real nice condition, the front two are currently out of the vehicle with only one tear at the seam of the headrest. Has the original headliner, some sagging at the back window, otherwise, in good condition. I am selling this vehicle, as is, and I am trying to tell you everything I can; so, that you understand it is in need of restoration. The car is a good solid project for someone who has the means and ability to get the job done. I will be happy to answer any questions and I apologize for only having the one picture.
