Purchased the car directly from Hertz through a local dealer. Car has functioned as a weekend and evenings traveler for the past 5 years. The car currently has under 24,000 miles. In the fall of 2007, the car was in an accident which yielded front and driver's side damage to the vehicle. My son lost control of the car traveling roughly 30 mph (it was the accelerating to that point on a curve which caused the accident) and spun up onto a curb. The driver's side and front experienced body/paint damage, but there was no damage to the engine, transmission, steering, frame, etc. The car was not totaled by any means, but repairs were made. The frame was not damaged in the accident and is in great condition. All replacement parts were purchased directly from Ford and Shelby and repairs were done by Ford. The car has been well-maintained and runs well - it accelerates extremely well. All power functions on the car work well and the Sirius radio subscription still works for free. The car is being sold for functionality reasons. As much as I have enjoyed owning the car, I have a family and need to purchase an SUV.
