Vehicle Detail
A Meticulously looked after and near showroom condition 1991 BMW 850i. Very rare and hard to find 6 Speed (E31) Diamantschwarz (Metallic Graphite Black with Black leather interior. 5.0L -- V12 Engine. This is a smoke-free automobile. There is no damage evident on this vehicle and no accident history. The exterior condition of this vehicle shows that it has been garaged and pampered. No winters. The 5.0 V-12 on this vehicle is properly maintained and serviced. The engine runs powerfully and very very smoothly with absolutely no hesitation, no noises, rattles, oil leaks and NO repairs needed ! The 6 speed gearbox shift extremely smooth with no grinding or noises. The clutch engages buttery smooth and launches with no jerking or head bobbling. In addition the V-12 offers unlimited thrust and acceleration. There is nothing like this combination on the road. AUTOMATICS simply feel very heavy and sluggish. The 6 speed gearbox unleashes the engines potential to freely rev. Wow what an exotic thrilling experience to feel the thrust and to pilot such a superlative driving machine. Last year I've made a 400 mile road trip and was averaging 24 mpg while cruising at 70-75 mph on the interstate. I never considered her for the fuel economy but I have been pleasantly surprised making up to 26.5 mpg while cruising at 50 mph on country back roads, this has been most definitely an added value of the low reving overdrive 6 speed gearbox and lowering overall cost of ownership. All power equipment is functioning properly and the air conditioning is ICE cold. The exterior of this vehicle is extra clean and straight with perfect body gaps, panel alignment and absolutely no rust ever. The gorgeous metallic graphite black paint shines beautifully as a collector quality vehicle should. This BMW has always been a Southern car since it was imported from Germany back in the mid 90's. It's so original the speedometer and odometer mileage is even displayed in the original Kilometers and when you convert kilometeres to miles it has around 97k miles. Carfax has it listed in Kilometers. The previous owner for 11 years was a F-18 fighter pilot from South Carolina's Hilton Head that meticulously maintained her with lots of records/ documentation to prove it. I have the complete set of books and manuals along with the original complete tool set in the trunk. The interior is extra clean and original with no modifications, rips tears, odors or blemishes. The leather feels and smells almost like the day it left the factory. Factory stereo works flawlessly with the only exception being the pixels are not as bright as new. All the windows operate smoothly with no hesitation. The window seals and rubber is factory tight with no wind noise at any speed. The steering wheel and shifter leather is in fantastic condition void of any gashes or scars. The rims are free from road rash which is a great sign of how carefully the car war driven by a mature thoughtful owner. You won't be disappointed with the originality and the condition of this Rare 6 speed 8501 BMW. It has'nt been modified in any way and it remains 100% factory stock including the beautiful wheels (new tires). This 8 series BMW is a great investment as it was the first V-12 mated to a 6 speed ever offered. Ownership cost are very reasonable as most parts interchange and readily available from 5,7 and 8 series Bmw's. The motor is essentially two BMW 325 inline 6 cylinders mated together (very reliable)Please call 423-310-5555 or email for more for more information if needed. This is a truly remarkable and unique opportunity to own a superlative driving machine. Originally $100,000 now offered at $15,900 Auction starts at $10,000 no reserve.
