Vehicle Detail
===Okay something weird happened just to my listing. Ebay canceled it saying their autocheck.com company said this vehicle has a Salvage title and wouldn't let me re-list it without changing the title type to "Salvage". Neither the California title that it had when I bought it or the Oregon title it has now indicate such a brand on the title. As you can see in the title photo I have uploaded, it says " - None - ", to my knowledge it isn't Salvage but the previous owner did replace the cab... possibly that triggered something, but with that in mind, let the bidding proceed. Here is the original listing:===I can't be selfish anymore! I finally came to the realization that I have to let this money saving truck go to someone else who can use it. My supply to CNG was cut off last Febuary and the vehicle has been in storage since then. Our natural gas company said we would have a public fueling station by June and so far nothing... so as much as I don't want to, I'll pass it on. First off, this is a very useful, economic and unique vehicle. I've moved several folks, hauled appliances and pulled trailers all while running on clean burning natural gas! The Triton 5.4 V8 runs very smooth and powerful and is gives a comfortable ride but doesn't have a lot of the amenities like power windows and air conditioning as it was an ex fleet vehicle. I know it says F150 on the fenders but the former owner changed the cab and fenders from a 1999 F150 so a few things are different. It really is a 97 F250 underneath. The dash is the same, so the miles are correct for the drive train and chassis but a few things didn't come over in the upgrade. The high beams still work but the blue light on the dash doesn't come on. Also the airbag and abs orange lights stay on seemingly to indicate a failure, but the previous owner said these systems still functioned. The previous owner also put the flat bed on the truck and it's a nice one made by Daily Body out of Oakland California. The Factory Dedicated CNG system runs great with no problems whatsoever. If you are not familiar with these systems, please do some research and find out why these vehicles are the way to save money and maintenance costs and keep our air clean! There are three tanks giving a range of about 200 to 225 miles on a 3000 psi charge. I do not know the combined capacity of the tanks. I've had the truck about a year and a half and I calculate it has saved me well over a thousand dollars in fuel costs alone. I had a major tune up when I first got it. All new spark plugs, rebuilt injectors and several new coil packs. The CNG filter was cleaned and the system inspected for any problems. I believe it's ready to go another 100K miles! The tranny fluid is clean and smells good with no shifting problems. Always starts and runs strong, even yesterday when I started it for the first time after sitting since February. The tires are still serviceable but down to about 30%. I had just replaced the rear brakes just before storage and the front ones are still very good. Exterior has some small bumps and scratches and touch-up paint but is in overall very good condition. Interior passenger seat has a rip in seam (see photo) but otherwise in good condition for the age and use. Vent on right side of dash is missing, (See photo) About shipping: I can transport the vehicle to Medford where there is a DAS auto shipping hub for $100 extra. Or I can transport it to Reno or Sacramento for an additional $300 in fuel costs. Or you can just do local pickup at no additional cost. Be aware that there is less than 1/8 of a tank of gas remaining. I ask for the standard $500 down thru paypal with the balance by cashiers check or electronic transfer into my bank account. Vehicle has a free and clear Oregon title and is currently registered with several months left on the tags. Please feel free to ask any questions and happy bidding!
