Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1975 Volkswagen Westfalia Pop Top Camper Van with RARE Factory Air conditioning in very good condition! This bus can be a daily driver and has the following: Rebuilt 1.7L motor with about 50K miles (sorry, no receipts). Clear title in hand in my name! New tags June 2014! 98% straight, rust free body!!! (There are a few door dings and a little surface rust here and there, some rust around the bottom of the passanger side windshield and on the bottom corner of the slider. (Is anything ever 100%?) Good solid floors! Original, uncommon color of paint. It looks like it may have been resprayed once but I can't say for sure. (No body damage surprises) Good original glass all the way around! Camper interior Decent pop top canvas with 1 small tear Propane hook up for the stove which has been removed CD/Stereo Now for the not so good stuff: It is hard to start but once you do it drives fine. I was having some electrical work done to the dash pod and ran out of money, so it needs to be hooked back up. It doesn't affect the drivability of the vehicle, you just don't have working guages at the moment. The A/C is not working There is no mattress pad in the upper bunk It could use a good cleaning I believe this would be a GREAT candidate for a restoration because it is so straight and complete!!! All shipping costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. I will entertain all REASONABLE offers. As with most, if not all vehicles over 35 years old, there is no warranty. I purchased this vehicle, did all of the paperwork and some misc. work then ran out of money and that is why I'm selling it. As you can see in some of the photos I have a vintage RHD Morris Mini, and that's where all of my "extra" money is going. I've tried to cover everything I could think of but please ask questions if you have them. If you have any questions please ask before bidding! If you don't have the money or do not intend to pay, please do not bid! If you can't follow the simple payment instructions in the time frame listed in this auction, please do not bid! Thanks for looking and happy bidding!!! On Jun-30-12 at 18:31:48 PDT, seller added the following information: !!!UPDATE!!! I was told by the previous owner that the motor is a 1.7L I've had a few emails telling me that this year came with a 2.0L ????????????????????? You decide!
