Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my daughters BMW X5. I got her the truck about 6 months or so ago and she loved it. It looks great and has no major issues at all. The reason we are selling it is because we found her a black one that she liked better simply because it was black. It is no different than the white one except for the color. The truck is in exceptional condition and runs and drives excellent as well. The tires are in great shape and we did have the brakes done in the front a short time ago. The hood had to be painted due to a softball dent that occurred but was done very well and you cannot tell a repair was done there. It was professionally done. The truck has a couple small problems that most, or I should say, all of these trucks do. First, the airbag light is on. I had a local auto shop scope it for me and they did not find anything wrong with the system. They said it works fine they just do not have the equipment to reset the light. I confimed this diagnosis on the internet. It seems it can cost anywhere from 100 to 300 dollars to have a BMW dealer reset the light, all the while, the system works fine. It appears if you are repairing a window or door handle or something on these trucks and you unplug the air bag while the key is on, the light illuminates. Also, many of the pixals (lights) on the radio are out. They come on sometimes and then blink out again. Every BMW I have seen of these years has this issue. Everything works perfectly on the radio just some of the lights are out. There is a site on the internet that claims to be able to repair this problem for under 200 dollars. You have to send them the radio. I have not confirmed success of the claim yet. Lastly, one of the right rear wheels leans a bit more than the other. I had the truck inspected when I bought it and they did not mention it at all. It does not affect the handling nor is the tire wearing out. It just has a slightly different angle to it than the other one. You would never notice it unless you are behind me at a light but I do not want to leave anything out for your information. Please email me any questions as I list the pertinent ones here on the auction page and I answer as quick as I can. I can help with shipping no problem. Just an FYI. It cost my brother 900 dollars to have a BMW X5 shipped from southern California to Central Michigan. Good luck. Kevin.
