Vehicle Detail

For Sale is my 1977 Ford F250 4x4- I bought the truck about 18 months ago, with the intention of doing a full restoration. It is a great candidate for a complete restoration, or just a driver as is. I never got to the project, and am off on another- classic BMW bike I am going to do. The body is straight, the underside looks great, the engine runs strong and the paint looks good. Interior is really nice- see pictures. The good- runs strong, four wheel drive works fine. The bad- issues to note- 1) it does leak oil. If you drive it to full temp, and then park it, it will leak in several spots under the engine and at the main seal. Not to the point where you need to add oil each time, but no question there are leaks. Fixing them is beyond my mechanical ability, and whomever buys her hopefully can easily address that. The second issue is when you go to start the truck, you need to giggle the transmission shift a tad from park, and then it starts no problem. I never addressed that, as I just considered it a clever theft control that only I knew. Truck starts every time, no problems there. The rear bumper is dented on the right side- it was when I bought it. Replacements cost $170. Easy to replace. I also put on brand new Pirelli Scorpion tires- they still have the blue over the lettering, and have perfect tread. Functionally they are still new! They cost me $1100. The bed had a bed liner. Not the spray in type, but the plastic drop in type. There are a few spots where the paint is spidering, and I tried to show that in the photos. I hope that anyone interested will INSPECT the truck before they buy it. I say that, because I have sold over 15 cars, trucks and motorcycles of mine plus have probably done over 100 other ebay transactions without a hitch- perfect rating for the last ten years. That streak was recently broken with a bad selling experience that I want to vent about. I sold my wife's 2010 Range Rover. It was perfect- 26k miles, etc. etc. Bidding went well, and a dealer finally won the bidding. Quick payment, shipper picked up the car- not a problem. Then out of left field I received a negative rating saying that I misrepresented the car, and that it had chips, signs of a repainted spoiler. I called the dealer, and told him I will happily refund his money AND pay the shipping- and that I didn't want a negative on my perfect rating. He said I needed to pay him $2,000 for his "time and effort" to save my rating. I told him to pack sand, and return the car. He didn't. What I don't like about Ebay's system, is that I cannot even rebut his negative comments. I call it Ebay Rating Extortion! What more can I say than that I offered a full refund and shipping costs for the car just to keep him happy. Oh, he kept the car- he knew the car was awesome, he just wanted to hose me down and get some money on the back end. Anyway- that is the story. SO.....if you want this truck, come see it. It is a 1977 truck that is in good shape. But it is a 1977 truck, and is by no means perfect in any way. I like it, you may not. So come see it to make sure you like it. Thanks!Jon
