I have owned this car for about six years and have done the bodywork, paint, interior, carpet, dash, and added custom made front bumpers, and powder coated wheels with stainless steel trim rings. The car was professionally painted in 2006. Added White Vinyl stripes on hood. The bodywork is done in all steel, with very small amounts of finishing body filler. The paint is extremely nice, and has no rust anyplace. The frame is fine, but I do see places that are a bit weak. If I were to keep this car and make it a hot rod as I intended I would buy a Ratco Replacement frame and really have a killer road car. (Add a 289 ford V8 and a 6 speed as well, but that’s another story). It's also a fine British Road Car as is. Motor and transmission are in good running order and it starts and drives just fine. Brakes are new, and work very well. The tires are Falken low profile Z rated tires and work just fine with the stock suspension. I had toyed with the idea of lowering the front a bit but have not done that yet. The front bumpers are the stock full bumper that was sectioned in the middle to give the car an AC Cobra type of front treatment when the stripes were added. They are professionally installed Vinyl stripes and can be removed if you want. There is a canvas top and the framework included, and a new windshield also, as the windshield is a bit worn from wipers. The steering wheel is an aftermarket type but matches very well with the wood dash. The seats are from a later model TR and are great on longer trips. Carpet is new as of two years ago and is still in great shape. The radio is an AM/FM radio and disc player (new, with removeable face plate for security). The exhaust is a six into one header and twin tail pipes that sound great at idle and better at speed. This car is a summer driver, as the heater and fan are not in the car. If you need a heater and fan, take your coupe and leave this car at home. It is for sunny days and cruising only. The switch for the wipers is not installed, but if it were the wipers would work. (See previous sentence for explanation). This car turns heads wherever we take it. Big fun to drive ,and low stress is what this car is all about.
