Up for auction is my 1989 Porsche 944 2.7L. It is a running, driving car. It is a 5spd manual with the 2.7L 4cyl engine. It has around 180,000 miles on it currently. I have had a good amount of work done on this car over the past 2 1/2 years of ownership. I will list them: New Sachs Clutch kit installed ($1500) New crank position and speed sensors ($200) New rear shocks ($250) Replaced 5 spd Transaxle last year ($1200) New A/C Compressor, Dryer and Expansion Valve last year ($900) Speedometer stopped working in February when they installed the clutch. I think it is a bad connectionat the transaxle because if you steer suddenly it comes up, then back down The car runs good and is dependable. I have driven it daily since I purchased it in February of 2010. I would love to keep it, but need something more sensible due to having small children. there are some issues and I will list them: Needs recharge on A/C Needs driver side window regulator. Motor works fine. Needs interior work. Driver seat has some tears, dash has some cracks, armrest has some cracks. Could use a set of rear brake pads. I have new pads for the front that I will let go with it. Exhaust is new, but may be louder than some prefer. It is a 2 1/2" exhaust with a 40 series Flowmaster. It has some dent, dings and a chips. The car was repainted at some point but not with the greatest detail. It could use a new paint job. This would be a great car to restore or to make a track car. Engine is very strong. PLease understand what you are bidding on. If you are not familiar with Porsche, please become familiar before you bid. these are amazing, well-built German cars but are costly to own and operate. With that being said, you get what you pay for. Car is sold AS IS with no warranty. This is a great little car and will make somebody very happy. It is not a brand new car, but it is not a parts car.
