Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder. Me and my wife have had this car for five years. It had around 67,000 miles on it when we bought it, so we have put less than 10k miles a year on this car. It drives like it is on rails. The steering tracks as straight as an arrow. It is mechanically sound, and hasn't given us any trouble in the least. The clutch still holds strong. The body does have some dents and dings, as well as some paint chipping. I covered most of the chips with touch up paint so as to prevent any rusting. As it is there is no rust on the body. There is a dent roughly the size of a small saucer in the middle of the drivers door, I think it was hit by a bicycle tire when it was parked outside. The fold down top works great, but there is a small tear at the top left corner of the rear window where the soft top has separated from the window. The tear measures roughly three inches and could be repaired quite easily with polyeurathane glue. I have mostly kept this car garaged and out of the elements. The car runs and drives great, but cosmetically it needs some attention. The tires still have plenty of tread. I have been religious about changing the fluids in this car. I only use Mobile One full synthetic oil with Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer with every change. I use lucas in the transmission fluid, and power steering. Mechanically it runs like a dream. The interior is black leather. The passenger seat looks almost brand new. The drivers seat has a small tear roughly were the curve of your back would be. The tear is about 2.5" in length. The tear could also be easily repaired. I concerned myself more with keeping the car mechanically maintained than cosmetically. It has a AM/FM radio, single disk CD player, and casette player. I use the casette player with an adapter to listen to music with my Android device. The title on the car is an Alabama title, and the title is clear, but Carfax reports several major issues with this car. One that it is a rebuilt salvage car, the other is an odometer roll back. I was informed by the seller before purchasing the car that it was involved in a front end accident, and that it was a certified rebuild. Outside of the carfax report I don't know any specifics about its previous history. The only information that I can vouch for is what I know while I have had it. As stated earlier has proven itself mechanically sound while I have owned it, and it drives as straight as an arrow with both hands off the wheel. Were I not needing extra money it I wouldn't even consider selling the car. This car still has plenty of years ahead of it. It has been a blast to drive and own it, and I am sure that whoever buys it will enjoy it just as much as I have. I will post more information as it comes to me. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking.
