1948 Studebaker Champion Starlight Coupe - Low Reserve - Free shipping up to $500* This is a driver quality vehicle which is freeway friendly and cruises effortlessly at 60-65mph. I recently drove this car from Marina del Rey, CA to Anaheim, CA and back (roughly 100 miles) and averaged roughly 24 mpg. Recent maintenance includes cleaning of fuel tank new fuel pump and carburetor rebuild. It runs with strong oil pressure and cool operating temperature. Brakes, exhaust system, steering all function well. All exterior trim and bright work is very good to excellent and the repaint is the original peacock-green Studebaker factory color. The paint is serviceable but does show signs of sun damage in some areas. The windshield has a vertical crack on the passenger side. Cost of replacement for a reproduction windshield is $300. The windows crank up and down easily. There is no rust on the body panels or frame. There appears to have been a floorboard repair on the passenger side. Interior is serviceable with no rips or tears in the seat upholstery. Headliner is excellent. The trunk is upholstered in black carpet with matching spare tire cover. *A shipping credit of up to $500.00 will be offered to the successful bidder upon transaction completion and presentation to seller of a commercial invoice from a licensed shipper after the car is loaded on a trailer. The car is not sold with warranties of any sort and bidders and buyers are encouraged to ask questions and inspect the vehicle prior to conclusion of the auction.
