This 1970 fj40 Land Cruiser is a factory soft top truck. This vehicle is very rare with the one piece fold down tailgate, factory soft doors, factory canvas door straps, factory soft top bows. The aftermarket top on it now does not fit well but Specter Off Road in Los Angeles (818 882 1238) sells a reproduction factory top for a thousand bucks. This vehicle runs great with the stock 6 cylinder motor and a Weber carb. The drive train is stock with the 3 speed trans. Because of the replacement gauge panel, I have no idea how many actual miles are on this motor but it does run strong and does leak oil.The windshield wiper motor comes with the truck as does the factory windshield channel for the factory top. Besides Specter Off Road for parts, I also recommend Proffitts Cruisers in Salt Lake City. They have a huge inventory of used and new parts. (877 776 3348) The front and rear jump seats are all there and are in good shape. Vehicle has a 2 anda half inch Old Man Emu lift with OME springs. Stock rims and hub caps. Turn signals and lights work fine. You can tell from the photos that the previous owner did some body work in the rear quarter panels and was going to paint the dash so he disconnected the switches. They are simple plug in switches but I do not have them. Call Proffitts. The floor boards in this vehicle are solid and have no rust. This vehicle is smog exempt in California and needs a little paint, some switches and a new top and it woulod be a super valuable rig. The factory soft tops are very rare and this one comes pretty complete.. I would rather not use Pay Pal but will use it if the buyer demands. My record is excellent on ebay.
