This is our 1972 PORSCHE 914 TARGA, this Porsche is well above average condition for the year and still in the factory original Orange paint! Please read all details and ask any questions BEFORE bidding. This auction has NO RESERVE, high bid takes it home. If winning bidder is in Southern California, I can assist with delivery, I also deliver to the shipping terminals in the Los Angeles area on a weekly basis. I do have a few bidder requirements at the bottom of the page, please read them and the entire listing BEFORE placing your bid. Also, I plan on selling many of the cars in my collection this year, so it will benefit other collectors and those of you that already know me and what I have to continue watching my listings! Please take the time to view the detailed pictures, I am very thorough when shooting and describing a vehicle and make every effort to catch as much detail as possible! DETAILS: Cosmetically, the body of this Porsche is complete and very straight with the exception of the palm size dent/scrape on the passenger 1/4 panel (see pic) and a dime size "ding" on the deck lid. This car has been stored indoors and the only spots I see that will need rust repair are the lower windshield corners/wiper cowl (see detailed pics). The floors and undercarriage are very solid and very clean. Front windshield has a crack, all other glass is clean and clear. Tail lights and lenses have sun cracks. Front bumper has 2 "dings" above the license plate and is missing the rubber trim. I have included pictures of the battery tray area because on 914's that is usually where they rust out, there is surface rust that can be treated now, it has not rotted out. This car is still in the factory paint and has never been in any major accident. Exterior paint does have fading, chips and scratches. Under hood/trunk is factory perfect. All factory trim/vin tags are intact and original jack set, spare and matting are still with the car. Antenna mast needs replaced. The code inside the door is L21E. The interior is all there and complete, over all decent shape but the factory seats will need recovered, springs and foam are in great shape still. Rear view mirror will need reattached. The little light that is in between the seats needs replaced and dash pad cover will eventually need replaced. Everything works as it should, all lights, guages, turn signals etc. Mechanically, this 914 has the original 1.7 liter engine, runs good but is missing the complete factory air cleaner assembly. I just had the injection serviced and spark plug wires changed. I would still do a full service as it has been stored since 2009. This Porsche starts right up without hesitation, trans and clutch shift well and I would not have an issue driving this car anywhere. Tires are about 85% tread. Brakes are perfect. I have in hand the clean and clear California title/ownership certificate on this 914. If the car stays registered here in California it is currently on a non-op with DMV, so there are no back fees due. I will continue to have the Porsche stored inside until buyer arrives or we deliver it. We are located in Moreno Valley, California 92551 (Southern California) near March Air Base.
