The idea was to create a simplistic, driver-oriented roadster in the vein of classic British cars like MG, Triumph and Austin Healey, but with solid build quality and reliability. The concept and execution were both wildly successful. Over 400,000 of the first generation Miata were sold from 1989 to 1997. Condition Cosmetic ExteriorThis Miata is reportedly in good shape overall. The paint is a custom job done by a local body shop, who re-painted the body yellow. The stripes were then added decals, to make the whole vehicle resemble the skin of an exotic animal. However, there is some overspray visible on the undercarriage. In addition, the original red paint is visible on some interior deck lid componentsThe vehicle was reportedly in a front-end collision at some point in the past.
