Up for sale is factory 1988 944 Turbo S. This car is 1 of 110 in Guards Red made for the US market in 1988. Only 718 Turbo S cars were shipped to the US for this model year.These cars are very rare and have the following options the normal Turbos didn't; M44/52 engine with a bigger turbo, this cars engine serial is, 47J01498 Locking differential Bigger brakes Adjustable Koni shocks Stronger transmission Larger torsion bars Wider fender flaresPlease see option sticker pic, it shows the "030" option package and "220" locking diff. This car is an immaculate example of a well maintained Turbo S. Long time owned be a PCA member always garaged and never tracked or abused.Exterior and interior are in fantastic condition, no tears rips in the leather upholstery, the dash is perfect with NO cracks the the original Guards Red paint is very glossy with no fading, flaking or cracking. Original Alloy wheels are in beautiful condition.Everything works as it should except the drivers seat sometimes stalls when moving forward. Air Cond. is ice coldEngine runs very strong with no smoke or unusual noises. Recently(100 miles ago) installed a Lindsey Racing 300 RWHP kit complete with 4" exhaust, leak down tests 96-98% all cylinders. The car has amazing power and handling characteristics.Last major service was at 62k, will be due again at 90k, my low reserve reflects this.
