Selling my 1998 Ford Contour SVT that I bought in January for a daily driver for the gas mileage. I bought it with a bad clutch,I bought a new one but never had it installed. The car has sat since then because I lost interest in getting this going when I bought a motorcycle. I don't need to hang onto this car anymore,so here it is for sale. I have a total of $1200 into it,and my reserve is around half that. someone is going to get a nice deal if they want to put forth the effort to replace the clutch. I just want it gone and could use the money. It currently has 169,000 miles on it. Starts up and sounds good,doesnt leak of blow smoke that I have seen. I have a brand new clutch kit that come with the slave cylinder as well. Comes with a clean title so it's ready to go. Buyer will need to trailer it home as the car doesn't move on it's own. I know it needs two rear tires (the fronts are NEW) and the power steering doesn't work due to a bad line.The speedo and tach seem to have a mind of their own and will give random readouts. It's in fair shape overall,but stil has plenty of potential. There are not many of these kicking around anymore. This car is still worth $2100 on KBB in fair condition. I am selling this AS-IS,WHERE IS with NO WARRANTY since this is a used,14 year old car. Look at the pictures closely,what you see is what you get. Car is located in Pasadena,MD.
