Up for Auction I have a 1973 AMC Javelin AMX three speed automatic 304-2v built in Kenosha. This vehicle is a fresh barn find, it has been in storage for about 15 years. I removed it from storage and took it to a mechanic to get started and to look it over. The motor does run and the transmission goes forward and reverse. The carburetor needs a rebuild as while it was running fuel was coming out of the top, float issue? But with the vehicle are two more carburetors. The car was started with fuel from an external tank as I am sure fuel tank needs to be cleaned out. The undercarriage has some surface rust but no big rusted out areas. It has disc brakes in the front and drum in the rear which needs attention as with the master cylinder. Tires will need to be replaced as it has been sitting in one spot for a long time. The interior is a tan color and in good shape all is their. Some wear on the driver’s seat. The steering wheel has a cover on it but I believe it is wood. The exterior is solid with no dents it has original paint. In the trunk on either side was some rust but still solid. The car does have an aftermarket sunroof, which I haven’t tried to open and don’t plan on. Overall this car is a piece of Americana and looks awesome. I had someone look at it and he said it was very solid, the areas that normally rust out bad are in great shape. The rockers are very solid.I am going to post a few more pictures. Hopefully I show what you want to see. The steering wheel upon further looking is not a wood wheel sorry for the misinformation.I removed one of the front brake pads on each of the front wheels so it was easier to move.
