Lowered the reserve $800 to where the last auction ended. Lets try this again... Classic hard to find 1967 (last year) Triumph TR4a IRS (independent rear suspension model). This model was the last of the Triumph sports cars to enjoy the beautiful Italian Michelotti styling and were only built for two years. While this is a project car, much has been done to get it back together including: Complete tune up on the engine, new air filters, oil/filter, plugs, cap/rotor/wires, new hoses and belts, flushed the radiator and refilled it. rebuilt both master cyls, new brake lines/hoses, new brake shoes/pads, new brake light sender, cleaned and sealed the fuel tank, rebuilt the fuel pump, new ignition switch, optima red top battery, new Pertronix ignition, new coil, new rear fenders (in the pics the pass side looks poorly fit because it only has two bolts holding it on), new carpet kit, refinished dash wood, new rocker panals (not installed but included). It is a one owner car, and we have the service records from the mechanic. It is/was British Racing Green with Black interior. It also has the original luggage rack and straps. We have the hubcaps although one is dinged but could be fixed. We have nearly all the chrome, minus the globe from the hood, and I think one letter from the deck lid (the H). The interior is complete but the seats (top of headrests), dash and rear wheel arch pads will need re upholstered. The frame and rear end supports are solid though the frame on under the pass side rocker does have a little scaling beginning. Nothing major, and no holes however, just trying to be up front. Milage listed is approximate, may actually be lower, I just can't remember but if its important to you send me a question and I'll go look for ya. I know its under 100,000. Now, the bad. The Pass side window glass is broken. The driver floor pan is shot ($100) on Ebay. Both rockers are shot (but new ones are included) there are a couple more rust holes on the front driver fender (about quarter/50 cent sized) a couple small holes in the trunk floor, and a couple in the pass side door piller that should either be repaired or replaced. There was a narrow, shallow but long dent in the front driver fender that has been filled but needs additional smoothing. we were debating replacing the fender and didn't ever finish it. It runs and drives great, and has a ton of power but it will need the carbs rebuilt as they need new upper diaphragms. Most of the body work is complete. It does have work yet to do, but is a great start to a very fun roadster. NADA lists its value at $8,900 low book and $39,300 on the high side so it has room to be profitable as an investment for the right person. All in all it is a really fun little car for a good price Car is sold as is/where is, shipping is the sole responsibility of the purchaser, however I will help load. Also, the dash support is there but needs recovered.
