Up for sale is my 1973 super beetle. It was mostly restored by the previous owner. The following have been replaced on this vehicle that I am aware of: a rebuilt engine with about 10 miles on it with speedometer/odometer to match installed at the same time as the engine to reflect total mechanical miles. The previous owner did rebuild the engine, we have been advised that the crank shaft shims were not installed correctly and may need to be pulled and checked. We were also told it may need cool air tins on the engine. We are not sure how true that is or how much it would cost to get it put on, we are not Volkswagen mechanics. It has a new clutch, new wiring, new tires, new window molding, new aftermarket headlights with replicable or hid convertible bulbs. There have been many new front suspension parts, carpet, paint job (3 years ago), and front bumper. I am sure I'm forgetting a thing or two. All together I have invested at least $2,500.00 in this car. I don't have to get rid of it but would like to in order to finish other project vehicles. This car is almost finished and would be a great project for someone looking for this car. The inside: the interior does not have a headliner but the interior roof has been painted black and looks fine without it, if that bothers you then you could install a headliner, and visors, It needs the rubber trim under the hood and the gas gauge/oil gauge hooked up. Other than that there are only a few minor things the car needs to be road ready is ready and could be called finished. The car does run and the engine sounds nice, we have only drove it 9 miles ,on the rebuilt engine, on our property, we have never had it on the hard surface road. We are not sure of the gas mileage it will get. The undercarriage: new floor pans installed by previous owner, view pics for further.
