Vehicle Detail

2000 Explorer Conversion Van on a Ford E-250 Van, only 82,716 miles! This van belonged to my step-father, who never really drove it. I got it from him a year ago with the intent to pull my wife's horse trailer with it, so we put in the trailer hitch and brake controller and stuff and then she decided she'd rather have a pickup truck to haul horse stuff than a van. Of course this was right after I spent $2987 on a major tuneup including 8 new spark plugs, new brakes, new tierod ends, alignment, all the hoses and belts replaced, all fluids changed, etc. Oh well. My loss is your gain! This van has the power sofa in the back that converts to a lay-flat bed, then a row of captain chairs, and then another row of captain chairs, so a total seating of 7. All leather seating with vinyl trim. Has the TV and VCR as well as a DVD player and a separate stereo for the back. Cold A/C, has a cooler for beverages that goes between the seats. There's windowshades on all the rear windows, those work but some of the pleats are kinda wrinkled. No dents, but there is a half dollar size hole in the rear bumper. Some of the plastic stuff (interior and exterior) is a little worn and cracked, nothing you wouldn't expect for a 15 year old van. The paint looks great except the clearcoat is beginning to fail on the roof, see pics. Vehicle is located in Palos Verdes, California. Currently registered, clear title. On May-23-12 at 10:13:14 PDT, seller added the following information: OK, this is some additional info because some nice buyers asked a few questions and I realized I could add some more info. The vehicle report says it was in an accident in 1986, this was before my family owned it and I did not know about that. I cannot see any damage or repainted areas, so whatever it was got fixed well I guess. There are a few scratches on the paint on the right side, the worst one is on the right rear door and it is about 9 inches long, photo included. The TV and VCR were built in, the DVD player is a standalone unit that plugs in to the video input of the TV. The TV works, I will test the other units as well. The rear stereo is falling out of it's mounting bracket a little bit, picture included. (I never really sit in the back and watch TV so I didn't notice this until I got back to take more pictures, sorry. Also when I went to open the rear trunk door I noticed the electric lock works but doesn't unlock it all the way, the mechanism is a bit stiff and probably needs to be oiled or adjusted. There is a security system installed (which I have never used) and also a trailer brake controller and associated wiring. The leather seating is intact with no rips, there is a little wear, the worst would be the driver's seat which is pictured. The clearcoat is failing in some places on the paint, about what you'd expect to see on a 12 year old van. Some of the plastic cladding on the sides is likewise cracked, seems to be all normal wear and tear to me. I can pick anyone up at the airport (LAX and Long Beach are close) or and/or possibly deliver the van as long as it's not more than a day's drive from LA and the payment is received up front. Any other questions or you would like to talk to me in person or see the van, just send me a message and I will call you or send you my number, I don't want my home phone in the ad for obvious reasons. On May-23-12 at 18:25:55 PDT, seller added the following information: OK, yet another addition to the description, I put the various stuff that I had taken out of the van when I got it because I had no intention of using it (DVD player, beverage cooler) back into the van. The beverage cooler works, I thought it was like a little mini-fridge, turns out that it is a can cooler that cools or heats the beverages that are placed right on top in the two little cup holders, and that does work. There is also a compartment that looks like a refrigerator but it is just an icebox, the electric part only cools the two cans in the cupholder on top. There are two DVD players in the van, a Blaupunct and a phonics digital, I do not know if they work, it looks like they were wired up and there is a bunch of stuff with them (remote controls, wires, etc) but I am not going to try to sort it all out. I powered up the TV and VCR and it looks like those work but I did not play any videos because I don't own any. Also, the driving lights (fog lights) are not working, looks like one is broken and the other has a loose wire. Sorry about all the additional detail but I want to be as accurate as possible. We never used all the additional features so we weren't really aware of what it all does. Thanks for your patience. On May-23-12 at 20:59:06 PDT, seller added the following information: LAST thing I'm going to add, I ran the air conditioning today, it runs nice and cold but the fan for the rear makes a squealing noise and doesn't run on the lowest speed, once again I apologize for not mentioning it before but I have never run the fan for the back since I never ride back there..... It gets cold but makes a noise in the back. Front runs fine.
