1999 Saab TURBO 6 cylinder RUNS GREAT LOW MILES LOADED SEDAN Selling two of three of my Saab’s to help my kid pay for his education. This is a great running Saab LOADED Turbo six cylinder that gets excellent gas mileage. On cruise control at 70+ MPH – I can get between 32-34 MPG. It is a clean car – leather seats are heated, and in very good condition – no sun cracking. Mahogany veneer panel, cruise control, sport overdrive gear, mileage is 130K – and I am driving it daily to and from work 120 miles with no problems. Engine runs quietly, shifts well, a great kick-down when you accelerate - you can tell it is turbo! CD player with a good sound system, Sunroof – works perfectly, spare tire is full size. The only problems this has is that 1. reverse gear is almost gone. I have been creative about how I park – and use hills to my advantage! I think it is about 1000 to repair this problem at the dealership and may be more economical to just do a tranny swap. 2. The headlamp on the passenger side is missing a bolt / bracket and currently I have it rigged so it is not a problem. It needs to be repaired properly – but no functions are compromised – all lights work. Tires have plenty of tread left and are in good shape – alloy rims. All logos are in place. All electric seat adjustments work well, radio, wipers, lights, horn, brakes – all work well. 3. The AC air is cool – but the fan does not work. May be a fuse according to a local mechanic – I need to stop by and see if Autozone has a replacement. Will try to do that before it sells. 4. I hear a very faint pin hole in the muffler – only because I have three saabs and recognize it. I don’t think most would hear it. So in the next year or so, you may have to have it replaced. The part is cheap – and is not hard to do. Ask questions early – paint is good – car presents well - an executive sedan with nice style, fuel economy (especially for the engine and performance) - It is ready to be picked up and driven home anywhere. Takes 93 Octane or higher gasoline – and well worth the performance it gets for the extra cents/ gallon.
