For Auction is a 1993 Buick LaSabre. We purchased it in September of 2012 (last Fall) for our daughter as a first car. The car has been reliable and our daughter loves it's ride. We purchased another family vehicle and have chosen to let the oldest and highest mileage car go - The LaSabre. Here are the Pros and Cons: PROS- The car was left outside in the U.P. winter and started every time without hesitation each morning.- Drove very well in the snow. Even with older tires on it.- Engine runs very well.- Interior is in good shape save for rip in driver seat and driver seat belt very worn (see photos)- Comfy and smooth ride around town....and on highway. Daughter never took car over 60 MPH....by choice.- Most power features work good. Only a very few items don't work (see below Cons)- Replaced front frame.- Breaks work good. CONS (see photos as I took as many pictures as possible)- Rust under body and some on main part of car.- Driver side back door will not open from outside and that power window is not operational.- Roof trim over front windshield leaks water in rainy weather. This gets front seat wet and interior roof wet.- In wet weather or puddles, the steering concil will spontaneously smoke.....sending young driver into panic. - Check engine light goes on and off. Have had car checked multible times for warning lights and smoking steering wheel in wet weather. No solution found yet.- Previous owners were heavy smokers. Smell is almost gone....but still lingers a bit.- Duck tape mania! Where there was areas of exposed interior, my daughter used duck tape to cover. See photos.- Engine sets on slight tilt. We were told it was fine, but we replaced the frame underneath the front for added peace of mind.- Good size dent on driver side back door (reason for not being able to open from outside).- Cruise Control works intermittently .- Passenger side tail light cover is broke. Light works.- We can not warranty the life and condition of this car....just witness that it has been a great car for the time we have had it.
