Daily Driver that runs great. Only reason I am selling is due to the fact I found another 98 TDI w/ Sun Roof and lower miles for a steal and I guess I really dont need 2 98 TDI's.... Still has 80k left on Timing Belt Service. Keeps the interior much cleaner and uses a stock filter size from the MKIV Jetta's. Non smoker and I changed the oil ever 4k miles. My commute is 88 miles per day and I average 49-51 MPG at highway speeds. Sad to see it go but I am running short on driveway space. Starts on first attempt, clutch is strong and shifts smoothly. Only smokes for a second on initial startup and if you push the RPM's passed 3500, which is normal of all diesels. There are some minor body defects, as it is a 14 year old car, but there are no holes and it has a recent Mako paint job from previous owner. He had the rust ground off and painted. The rear passenger door has bubbling by the door handle and the driver side corner of the bumber is cracked. All in all it is a solid car and will continue to run great for many years to come.
