1979 Mercedes 450 SEL 4.5 LWB Collector Car Only 46,300 original miles. Rare combination Wine Red with Palomino Leather Interior and Camel color carpeting. This is practically a single owner car. The previous owner was the first original owner who bought the car in 1979 and the car remained in the family for 33 years. I have the Original Mercedes Benz Bill of sale included in the sale. The gentleman passed away and I purchased it from his son who is car collector. It was always stored in a climate controlled warehouse. Per the previous owner, the car was in the movie "W" depicting the like of George W. Bush . This does interest a lot of people as a beautiful Wine Red beauty in a time capsule from the German 70s era…it does comes with the original Factory Data Card, manual and stands out as all original along with the confirm built data codes. No engine, transmission or differential oil/fluid leaks. Engine compartment clean. Some parts still have the cadmium (golden color) coating on them. Original factory hood insulation. Transmission: Floor shift transmission. Smooth, serviced and with no hesitation in shifting with no leaks. Under Chassis: Clean and dry with no oil leaks. The chassis has still the original sound proofing and body paint. Paint: Original MB paint. No body/chasis rust. One dime size small dent on the passenger door. Suspension System: No issues. Replaced rear sway bar links. Leather: All original as it came from factory per code. Color is Palomino..spectacular for a car 38 years old. The car has new floor mats in the camel color professionally special ordered from California. Dash: Dash has no cracks or sun fading. Clock: Work fine and runs on time. Door Panels: All door panels are good. No rips. Doors vacuum locks do work including trunk lock. Tires: Michelins all good Size 205/70/14… Glass: All glass are excellent with no cracks/scratches. All windows do operate. Rear Hat Shelf: Original with Becker speakers with first aid kit. First aid kit appears to be not used with all contents intact from factory. Wood: The woodwork is excellent. No cracks/sun fading. A good shine to it. Air Condition/Heat: AC works. Heat works as well as the blower. Chrome: All interior/exterior chrome are beautiful with a shine to it. As shown in the pictures, there is small ding on the rear bumper chrome but the bumper rubber is straight and good. Rubber/Window Seals: All in good shape with no or little cracking. Door Rubber: A good except for the right passenger door as a few cracking at the door corner. Trunk: Clean with carpet mat /rubber mat, original tool kit and spare tire. Rubber and seal all good. Electrical: All electric work on the car including vacuum locks, power windows switches, wipers, horn, interior/dash/exterior lights including the trunk light. Even the original Hirschman antenna electric works. Electric sunroof: Works fine as it supposed too. Documentation: The car comes with a fair amount of maintenance and parts receipts, manuals, original data card, Becker Mexico factory manual, etc.. **************A $1000.00 deposit (non-refundable) will be required within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal.
