1972 Volkswagen bug truck It is my understanding that this has a modified 1600cc engine a guy looked at it today and said it has a baja kit what ever that means.. said it had allot of aftermarket parts and some type of special oil pan. It does start and run good, it idles great and likes to run hard, is a little temperamental at light throttle It could use a good carb tune up. but it does run fine just like it is. the original owner and builder of this thing used it as a mascott / shop truck for a Bar he use to own.it was always garage kept until 2 years ago when I obtained it, he said the mileage of 2131 is a new odometer installed when the engine had a major overhaul, said it has modified cam and other hop up parts. it is loud and quick 2 guys that looked at it once did allot of undercarriage checking for rust and said it looked good other than it needed floor pans and could need heater channels. it does have a few small holes in the floor but far from a Flintstones ride. I know it has air shocks on the rear. the wood floor in the stake bed needs replaced, the paint as I understand is Dupont imron which was the top thing in its day, but has alot of checking in it now there are no viable holes or damage to the external body 4 spd trans works good with a good tight clutch I am just not a VW enthusiast and have decided this is one of many projects I have that is better suited for some one else.
