I just relisted & REDUCED my asking price to $6,500 to sell now! I've decided to sell my 1999 E430 after having to store it the last several years because of travel/work. Storage has been inside a garage, not outside. It's the E430 Sport with the V-8 engine, tremendous power and acceleration. And as you may know, as a Sports edition, it has the higher top end speed than the standard E-class. I never had the opportunity to truly test its (ultra) high speed capability, but let's just say there's plenty of RPMs and torque left when you're already faster than you need to be... :-) Body is almost like new. The one flaw is the slight indention right at the M-B star badge on the trunk lid where the original transporter "bumped" it in transit. You can notice it somewhat from the rear side pictures; very minor. That was the only exterior item I needed to address, if not for the fact it has been in storage all this time. However, it has been run regularly and driven around the block to keep things smooth, but it does need new tires. Interior is that good... just like the pictures show. The leather, the carpet... all of it is far, far better than its model year might have suggested. It will be obvious that this is a pampered Mercedes. I had the maintenance receipts... somewhere. I may or may not be able to find them now, however. I was considering selling it to an M-B technician awhile back. He tested and probed the engine with electronic equipment, and went through all the systems in as thorough of a way as I've seen. He gave it a thumbs up! He planned to do some minor work to possibly retorque the valve cover, something with the A/C because one side of the dual side was not blowing cold, while the other side was blowing ice cold; not the compressor, but something with the controls I think. The dashboard lights needed some attention and that was about it. In the end, after all that and test driving the car extensively, he wanted it at way too low a price. And he knew that. I don't know if he was planning to do that little bit of work himself and then sell it for a big profit. But I couldn't sell it at such a (loss) price. But to be frank, now I am willing to post it for a price much less than what I originally paid. Maybe that same technician will read this and I'll sell it to him at his price this time! My loss will be your gain. Realize I didn't any significant miles on it since I've owned it! It's the same car as it was... only stored inside. Title is clear and on hand. I did a full CarFax and AutoCheck when I bought it and it's 100% clean. You as the Buyer would be responsible for all transportation and shipping. I can be there to oversee if it's to be loaded on a transport. ...yes, I will definitely consider reasonable offers, but please only serious offers. Call me if you're interested.
