Toyota Corolla 1981 I am selling my 1981 Corolla. Miles are ORIGINAL. I was a caregiver for the original owner and when he passed away the family gave me this car. When I got it it had about 40k something ORIGINAL miles. Prior to my ownership it was driven about 300 miles per year for many years. I have owned and loved this car for about 2 years now. I put some miles on it driving around the bay area and twice to San Diego. It has been my daily driver and I will miss it. I have already got a new car so i don't need this one anymore. This is why i am selling. It is getting hard to find this model and it is going up in value every year. THE BODY: The car has the ORIGINAL PAINT. Never repainted so the paint is faded and not great. However when restoring one of these classics this is a very good thing because there are NO surprise piles of old bondo or covered up damage to deal with. Rust is minimal with no major spots. It has one very tiny rust area around the trunk lid that is smaller than a quarter with some light surface rust on the hood. The car has small dings in various places and has some dents on the driver side door and the rear wheel well. I show in the pictures. INTERIOR: Front seats were reupholstered years ago. It was not kept in a garage so the dash has typical cracks and the interior has not stayed nice due to sun and age. I was goiing to buy a dash overlay which makes the dash like new again but never got around to it. They sell here on ebay from other sellers and they look like the original when installed. Car has NOT been modified. It has been kept all original. Even the original simple radio is still here. Tires hold air but will need new ones soon. The brakes stop the car and do not make any bad noises but they probably need some work because in the rain one front wheel brakes more than the other. Air conditioning works and blows cold !!!! Can you believe that after 30+ years? At least i am impressed. The car is rear wheel drive. Transmission shifts perfect. If you buy without looking at it in person then know that there is no refund for the deposit. I want serious buyers only. I HIGHLY encourage all potential buyers to see the vehicle in person or at least contact me for any specific details. I would be happy to talk to andy serious potential buyers on the phone. However keep in mind that I will not write a book of information about the car that can be picked apart later. The car is 30+ years old. I will not negotiate the price after the auction end for any reason ( yes I have had this happen before but I know you are not one of those people right?) Basically check the car out for yourself and make sure you like it and are ok with the price FIRST because it will be sold AS-IS. I have described everything as best I can. GOOD NEWS:::::Registration is (just paid in full $112.00) CURRENT and good until 4/20/2013. I (seller) will smog the car and I believe it will pass with no problem. I will pay for the smog certificate. If it does not pass buyer may have a 100% refund of any money paid.I plan to take car of this in the next couple of days so when I do I will update the listing.
