OK, Pontiac lovers, give serious consideration to this classic for sale by a senior citizen, private car collector of 1930's - 1950's restored automobiles. Early 50's hardtop automobiles are hard to find and highly collectible. This is a 1952 Pontiac Chieftain Catalina 2 door hardtop, a rare body style, with a recent restoration. Another senior citizen in Kansas did most of the restoration. The odometer shows approximately 1800 miles. The two tone exterior paint, a darker blue top over a lighter blue body, is in excellent condition. The Chromed grill and bumpers are near perfect and stainless is in excellent condition. The interior is equally nice. Rubber seals are in excellent condition, some new. All glass is in good condition with the passenger side of windshield containing two slight wiper marks. Window glass rolls good. Mechanically, the Pontiac is powered by the L head I-8 engine, 268 cu in,122hp and was rebuilt during restoration. The engine starts easily and runs whisper quiet. The transmission is the new for 1952, Dual Range 4-speed Hydramatic, a significant improvement over the older cars, and was also rebuilt at time of restoration. The tranny shifts fine. The battery and charging system is converted to 12 volt. Battery is new. Everything works except the radio which is not connected. Gauges operate as they should. Exterior and interior lights work. Tires are radials. Car drives straight, brakes work properly. You can drive this one home! No need to trailer it. There are no rust issues.
