Vehicle Detail
This is a rust free Arizona car with a clear title. Fairlane 500 2 door Victoria hardtop, body style 63A. It was taken down to bare metal 2 years ago. The stainless side trim was eliminated and the mounting holes welded up. There was no rust on the body when it was stripped. (see photos of restoration) Now it boasts a two tone urethane clear coat finish. DuPont paint products were used. I have close to $2000 in materials alone in this paint job. The blue is pearl, as well as the 'beige' color, which has blue pearl added to tie it in with the rest of the car. Very nice paint job, but not show quality. All of the chrome was done , as well as the stainless, which was professionally buffed ($4500+). Interior was just finished by a local shop. New headliner, carpet, seats, door panels. Front bucket seats are new factory seats (Honda?), rest of the interior is matching vinyl. All of the glass has been replaced, with the exception of the rear windshield, which was in good shape. Complete rubber kit was installed (windshield gasket, all of the window seals, door seals, new cat whiskers...rubber pads under everything that needs it. It has a freshly rebuilt 390, with about 45 minutes of run time on it. It was bored 40 over, and has Sealed Power pistons in it. Other new parts include: Hydraulic Johnson Hylift lifters New pushrods Engintech main and rod bearings Crank was ground and polished Elgin EM-57 oil pump Elgin TC-3012 timing gear set New cam bearings with new RV cam (sounds really good) Heads have been taken apart, cleaned, valves hand lapped (hardened seats were already installed), new valve springs installed (with proper shims), new seals; rocker assemblies were gone thru as well. 4 speed T 10 that was gone thru (new synchs, etc), as well as a new clutch that has about 20 miles on it. I don't have it insured or licensed, so it gets driven on and around the property only. Brakes were completely redone, with rebuilt master cylinder and new or rebuilt wheel cylinders. New flex hoses ; power booster has been also gone thru and works great. Rebuilt Edelbrock 4 barrel carb. New pinion seal. Entire car, including roof, has been insulated with DynaMat type material. Aftermarket wheels with good tires. Starter and alternator recently rebuilt by a local shop. Car has power steering , but it hasn't been hooked up yet. (It really doesn't need it with the large stock steering wheel) Correct AM radio (professionally refurbished but not wired in yet) Fuel gauge as well as water temp gauge work well; great oil pressure. Speedo doesn't work at this time...maybe a cable issue, but not sure (gauge works when spun with a drill, but when connected to the other end, it stays on zero.) Lights and turn signals work. Gas tank has been professionally cleaned. Electric fuel pump. This is a solid car that still needs some minor finishing touches to make it great. Please read description carefully and feel free to ask questions if something isn't clear. Car is sold AS IS where is with no warranties given or implied.
