1957 Ford F-100 Panel Truck Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE The engine was compression tested and meets or exceeds norms and does not burn oil it has a re builders tag on the left head; New Battery; New Head Light Switch; Rebuilt Brake and Clutch Master Cylinders; Rebuilt Distributor; New spark plugs and wires; Rebuilt fuel pump; Rebuilt Generator; New Front Shocks; Rebuilt Carburetor; Went through Brakes; Repacked and adjusted front wheel bearings; Replaced steering column and box with rebuilt.What I know this truck still needs mechanically: Rear Shocks; New kingpins and bushings in the front end; New muffler and tail pipe; One radiator tube need repair; New tires. The rest is body work This is a California truck and as such has very little in the way of rust issues. It did have some surface rust that was sanded away and primed then painted with a white seal coat for protection. There is some interior surface rust however most is normal the worst of the rust is where it always is on these type trucks the rear doors which are not at all bad but do in my opinion need to be media blasted and repaired. 1957 was the first of a four year run for this body style of Ford Truck and the last of and era for Ford as the Econoline Vans replaced panel deliveries in 1961.As such it shared similarities to the prior one off year 1956 The photographs shown are as I purchased it.
